The Chapel
Fort Bragg
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (4 reviews)
"We booked the chapel room for a weekend trip to try the rail bikes. Location is perfect and in walking distance to high rail bikes and Glass Beach (just a bit further). I was expecting character based on listing which was accurate. Check in is slow as there was only one person handling check in and issues. The updates are in progress so it does need work. Nice history, had no idea it was a hospital in the past. Interesting! Note - it is SO quiet, we felt we had to tiptoe to our room. That said,...

Oakcrest Getaway
Garberville
6.8 out of 10, (3 reviews)
"Multiple areas stated that the property had “a bunk bed, a double bed and a queen bed.”The double bed was PART of the bunk bed - so there was one whole bed less than anticipated which was a big deal for our group of 7. The “large futon” was also quite small. The place reeked of pot, the counters were sticky and there were remnants of food on the kitchen floor. The location was pretty - but it really requires four wheel drive to...

Beachcomber Motel Fort Bragg

Beachcomber Motel Fort Bragg

10/10 Excellent
"The Beachcomber is great when you want to be near a great beach, listen to the ocean during the day and at night, and just relax. Just remember it is a family place, and it's a motel with rooms right next to each other, so it's not dead quiet, but that's fine with us. The facility is as maintained as a place right on the ocean with salty air can be (some of the exterior metal hardware is degraded, but let's be fair - it doesn't last long in this environment). Overall, a great place to relax and get away from the grind for a few days."
