"This was absolutely what we wanted, a nice quiet place - the garden is so big it felt like our own secluded woodland. Nice countryside nearby - try Cleres, Pavilly, and the wooded valleys locally. Rouen's a short drive, lots of other charming places only a little further away.. If you don't speak any French I expect Sandrine's enthusiasm and welcoming approach will still sail through the language barrier. Loved it."

"Exactly what you would expect from the description. The owner can't help enough and at the same time leaves you to enjoy your break. While the bed does say futon it does have a very comfortable memory foam mattress and we slept very well often surprised by just how late we were waking up, often close to 10 hours sleep. "The house is a large, beautiful gite with everything we required for our stay; good facilities, clean and a well maintained pool on a daily basis. The property is situated on a hill side allowing for unspoilt scenery in the sunshine. The owners were incredibly helpful, had very speedy responses and allowed us to book on the day! Keen to meet our needs on arrival and could be contacted throughout the stay. Pavilly, a small town is 4km in distance with a supermarket, garage, pharmacy etc....

"We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful property in an outstanding area. You do need a car to get anywhere though as the village is much further than we thought. We would highly recommend the restaurant in Val-deSaane. However, we have one major complaint. On arrival we had to pay 300 Euros for a security deposit which is not written in any paperwork - it left us very short of cash for our holiday. Can someone explain to us what would happen if we travelled cashless as a lot of people now do ?...

Superb quiet hotel with great staff and parking
"Stayed here for 2 nights as an emergency place to stay as I had mechanical problems on my bike. The staff were absolutely superb. The receptionist was delightful and very helpful making recommendations on where to visit and how to travel on the excellent, cheap and frequent bus service into town. Car park was very large and felt secure too. There is a big retail park next door which was very handy too. The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows and bedding superb. A good hot shower and large towels were very much appreciated. Rouen is a spectacular town and 2 days was really insufficient to appreciate everything it has to offer. Would I stay here again ? Most definitely YES !"
