    "A fantastic gem of a hotel! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed in the 3rd floor apartment - which was very spacious for 6. I will say coming from North America THE STAIRS are something to behold (I believe they at 51°) so we all definitely got our leg and glute workouts. But because we were on the top floors we had windows that fully opened on the the canals - and what a beautiful sight!!!!!     "Very central and surprisingly quiet room. But the room was tiny the pictures are misleading to show how tiny the room is. The bed had 2 single matts which kept sleeping and I kept ending up in the middle. Then they demanded 50 euros extra for city tax which should be accounted in the price and additional approx 100 pounds for damage deposit? I still haven't received this back and again this demand should be declared. In summary a very central but below average overpriced hotel. 3 stars..."

    "Really sweet and helpful staff, but this is an old building so no elevators and if you're on anything higher than the second floor you will be humping your bag up very narrow, steep and curved stairs. The room was cozy, what you would expect from an older European hotel. I would stay there again because it's very central to a lot of the historic area, which was convenient."

"The people working there are friendly and helpful. We were a bit late for breakfast and the lady working there very kindly made up some food for us. The breakfast is good and varied. It's a bit off the beaten track being a 25 or so minute walk to the centre although there is a bus nearby that runs to town every 20 minutes. We had a very enjoyable stay."
