"Check in was good. Quick and efficient. Room was a bit strange. Looked directly into the internal courtyard . Layout was not ideal. Pillows a bit hard. Property is nice in a very good part of town. "

"Stayed only one night before a cruise. Good location next to the main station and buses. Amazing old style lift. Room was great and loved the hanging hot air balloons. Shower was amazing and bed was comfy after a long day travelling and sightseeing. Even though it seems close we got a cab to the cruise terminal organised by reception when we checked out, it arrived within 2 minutes and took us straight to luggage drop off which was the best choice."

"This is a beautiful hotel very close to the train station. Beautiful old marble, wood and iron in the grand entry. They really made the atrium and breakfast area into something special. There are beautiful wood parquet floors in the rooms. Plenty of towels, robes, slippers provided. Wonderful tea/coffee service set up in the rooms. Amazing breakfast, worth the money. Old but well kept. "

"I usually do not write reviews. But my stay here left me with a bad taste in my mouth. The hotel looks very nice from the outside and is super well located. Inside though, it has a very creepy feeling and the staff just felt off. As a young woman traveling for me is scary by itself. It did not help that while I was trying to take a shower, a man tried to break into my room and was banging my door down. I called the emergency service in the hotel and by the time they came the man was gone and therefore nothing was done. It might sound dramatic but this was definitely a traumatizing experience. If you are a solo traveler, I wouldn’t recommend."

"Clean room, staff were knowledgeable and provided excellent suggestions for sightseeing and dining. Obtained airport taxi for me quickly. Great location for visiting the old city center."

"The property is new and very clean. The amenities are nice. Simone was super friendly and helped us with many questions. Honestly, the rest of the staff, not so much. The area is nice for walking around despite the busy traffic. Everything closes at 8 except fine restaurants that you need a reservation for. Highly recommend the hotel but don’t think we’ll return Genoa."

"Great location, friendly and helpful staff, and clean and comfortable bedroom (ask for one on back of building for less noise). The only minor complaint is a mold stain in the shower, which should be removed."
