"A really lovely hotel, very clean and comfortable. Check in time a little restricted as we didn’t really have time to make use of the lovely looking pool before dinner which was also quite strict with timings, I do totally understand why though as the dinner was fabulous!"

"Idyllic setting with wonderful views down across the valley to Aurillac. Very welcoming and a most enjoyable stay. Our host provided us with a delicious cold platter, as she was not cooking the night of our stay. Lovely to sample the local meats and cheeses. Would definitely like to return and explore the area."

"A friendly and helpful welcome to the Hotel and soon booked into our room and explained where to park our vehicle once we had unloaded. The hotel has a very traditional feel downstairs, charming. The corridors and the rooms themselves were decorated in a very dark scheme, which even with the lights on was a little difficult to always see well. "L'accueil chez Lo Soulenquo fut sympathique, le propriétaire nous avait dressé les lits car nous étions en moto et a été très agréable. Cependant l'état du logement reste à désirer : parquet qui gondole, coussins du canapé sales tout comme les tapis de bains, pas d'ampoule donc pas de lumière dans une des chambres, pas de couteaux, poubelle non vidée entre les locataires et amas de papiers journaux dans une armoire. Bien que l'accueil soit agréable cela ne vaut pas 120€ la nuit. De plus, nous...

"The hotel is small, ok for a night. Our room was in a 3rd floor without elevator. It was a tiny room. Mme Boussard in the reception was very kind. As far as I know only french is spoken. We did not take the breakfast as there are a couple of bars ans bakeries nearby where you can have a simple continental breakfast for a few euros. "

As cyclists it’s well located for some exceptionally scenic rides through the Lot gorges and to several medieval towns and villages. It’s also ideally located as a stop over point on the route from St Malo to Nice recommended in the France En Velo guide."
