"I loved my stay at Hotel Laurin. The room was great, very clean and the balcony was a massive plus. The pool area was excellent, for the time of year the number of sun loungers was plenty, and the view over the coast was perfect. The breakfast buffet had a great selection of hot & cold, and sweet & savoury. The staff were all brilliant, welcoming and helpful. And the area was close to all restaurants and shops, as well as the boat to Portofino and the train to all the popular spots on the coast as well as the smaller villages. Santa Margherita itself is the perfect base for the area, with a calmer feel than some of the more intense tourist areas, whilst still having enough of a buzz to not feel too quiet. You are right on the Main Street and if you open the windows you will get a lovely ocean breeze but it can be noisey until the crowds leave but with the window closed it is quiet. I’d stay hear again and would recommend it to my friends"

"The hotel was situated a three minute walk to the train station which we used quite a bit during our two day stay. The rooms were average size and clean. The staff seemed a little bit snobby. We had booked two consecutive nights and they could not accommodate us in the same room so we had to switch rooms after the first night. They did, however, move all our luggage to the new room so that was good. Overall, I would give them an eight out of 10 rating."
