"the night before i stayed at an expedia super 8 hotel, which was a disgusting hole. the hamilton was a breath of fresh air. walking in the front door was a welcoming staff, it backed up on the same shore, the building is a little dated, but, very well maintained. the room was clean, neat, comfortable. I don't travel much, I understand most are franchises, I'll never look at another Super 8 again. Mackinac City, was a very nice experience,,,, thank you Hamilton"

"This was a wonderful family friendly hotel! My grandkids and I had a wonderful experience, room was very clean, beds were soft and cozy. Smelled a bit too much of bleach, but I’d would rather have that than something else. Carpet was stained, but otherwise great shape. Our view was Lakeside w/ balcony and we loved it! The waterpark was just as amazing as the pictures showed- a must for traveling with kids! It is right across the street from the ferry we took to Mackinaw Island. I will definitely return next year! "

"Arrived Thursday August 21, 2025, the gal at check in was very friendly and helpful. Recommended some local restaurants for dinner when asked, which turned out very nice. Enjoyed a nice breakfast in the morning before checkout with another friendly checkout agent. Thank you."

"The room were so clean and beds were comfortable, the location is so convenient it’s right by the ferry, it’s quite peaceful place, the staff are all amazing, breakfast is included and it has many options, at night they do s’mores around a bone fire, there are two pools and hot tubs indoor and outdoor, the facility is well maintained and all in anew condition, everything was perfect and we had blast staying here, the only comment I would have is just to use a different blankets instead of using two blankets just use one that matches everything, we would definitely come back here every time we travel to upper peninsula, we really loved the place. "
