Cheap motel but had all I needed.

Cheap motel but everything I needed for just 1 night stay. People running the place were very helpful. Was convenient to have the diner next door. Decor all a bit dated, but everything worked and it was a good nights stay.

The room was small and compact. Nothing was fancy or unneeded. You had exactly enough. You had your room. You had your bath. You had a comfortable bed for sleeping. The price and location were good.

It was a late check in, tired, and wanted to rest. The room was very hot. AC would not go or even set below 80 degrees even after 20 mins or so. Also 4 stink bugs was congregated on top of the curtains. Top it off, the fire alarm was just hanging by the wire from the ceiling. I promptly turned the key back and left. Maybe I am just one off but cannot recommend

We spent the weekend here visiting Washington and Lee University. It was clean, quiet, reasonably priced, and close by the university. We also, went to Natural Bridge and did a short hike. It was convenient having the Pink Cadillac diner right aside of the property. The food was good.

Family vacation stay

For $80 a night I was expecting something updated and without a loose toilet. The toilet was not secured to the floor, the gap under the door took two bath towels to block, but the staff was incredible.

I'm the type of person who can accept a lot, especially when I stay at a cheaper hotel. However, there were things that I'd like to forewarn other travelers about. Pros, conveniently located to hike Natural Bridge State Park, which is why we were there. The room was clean and even barefoot on the carpet and bathroom floors was good. Bed comfortable with clean sheets. Hot shower. Pink Cadillac Cafe right next door was great. Cons. Do not stay in room 102 if you like watching TV. I can't speak of other rooms, but this was the most bizarre layout I'd ever seen. The TV was parallel to the beds. It sat on a dresser with the bed 6 inches away so the drawers could not be opened. There was space on the wall facing the beds for the dresser/TV, so I don't know why it wasn't there. The bathroom situation was toilet and shower in the tiniest space imaginable. A large person would have trouble fitting.

Cozy little Inn tucked just off the highway. Beautiful views of the hills and sunset/sunrise. For the price, it was good. Could probably use new towels, new carpet, new shower curtain, but it did NOT feel unclean, just too many uses or water stains maybe. One man seems to run the place, he was very friendly and accommodating. Little Pink Cadillac diner in the same lot... that was just ok. Would stay here again for sure!

Very convenient to I81. Owners are responsive to requests. I have stayed here four times in the past few months. Three of the four times I have had to either have my room cleaned or moved to another room. For some reason, cleaning is not an automatic here and it's a shame. The rooms are modest but serviceable and cleanliness should be easy.

Since the owners have another property nearby it may take a few minutes to check in while they travel back and forth. I had one issue with the room and the manager was very accommodating and responded as requested.
