Best weekend all year!
We were in Lexington for the K3Day. The host suggested we also visit Keeneland and arranged for us to get clubhouse tickets. It was amazing! Love the house and its location (great pizza near by!)

Opening Weekend at Keeneland
This property was perfectly located close to downtown Lexington and just a short drive to the track. We brought are grown children and friends with us to enjoy the event. We had 8 people staying and it did seem a little cramped but it was managable. We loves the horse racing motif throughout the house! Hoping to return next year!

Charming and unique home
This is a very unique historical property. It’s right in the heart of downtown. The location is excellent. Everything was clean and as shown on the website and the hostess is great at communicating. Highly recommend.

Merit Weekend at UK
We came for the weekend for Merit Day at UK. The house was exactly what I had hoped for…clean, spacious, and convenient. I will definitely stay there again when the need arises. Carrie is a wonderful host and I appreciate how accommodating she was to my schedule and needs.

Great location!
Perfect spot when visiting UK. The walk to Rupp Arena was quick and easy. The location was convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. And, the house is beautiful.

Come From Away
Beautiful home! Spacious! More than plenty of room for the 4 of us. Spent the long weekend in Lexington to see the "Come from Away" performance at the Opera House and take in a few of the sites. Will need to come back when the weather is better to enjoy the countryside. One issue--had an unexpected individual Saturday evening use the patio area alongside the house as a shortcut (twice) from one block to the next. He hopped the gate and kept right on running. Beyond that, a very accommodating stay.

So sorry that happened to you! Unfortunately, sometimes it happens with being in the middle of downtown. I’m glad that he kept going. This is the first time I’ve been told of somebody using the side as a cut through. There is a parking lot right next to the house that he could easily have used. Hopefully this problem will not occur again.

Great Location
The house was in a perfect location for us as our daughter could easily walk from campus and we could easily walk to anywhere we needed. The house had everything we needed and more. It was our first time staying in a historic home and we loved it. The house is larger than expected, and very cozy. The host was very responsive and made us feel welcome. We would 100% stay here again.

Wonderful location and a great stay
We had a great stay. The house was spacious! Lots of room for the family. The owner was quick to address any issue. The home was beautiful. The stained glass window was a great touch. The old newspapers in one of the rooms added to the historical experience. We all really enjoyed it! The location near the Rupp arena was close enough to walk!

Great place for multi-generational stay
Historic property with lots of interesting quirks. It has two "wings" that were probably separate rental units at some point in time, but which now connect through a hall. This worked really well to put grandparents in the loft bedroom of one wing and the parents and teen in the bedrooms of the other wing. Be warned that all sleeping areas are upstairs, so that luggage must be hauled up. The host is a pleasure to deal with.

Yes, you are right it was converted into a duplex in the 70s and then converted back into a single Family home in 2012. Great observation! Hope to see you guys back again soon.

Great property in a fantastic location
Really enjoyed my stay at this property. Great location - close to campus and downtown. Numerous restaurants and bars within walking distance. Perfect on a football and/or basketball weekend but also good for other occasions. Generous off street parking available. Backyard and house are good for tailgating or just visiting with friends and/or family. Two full baths plus two half baths means no one needs to wait for a bathroom. House has loads of character. Great hospitality and a good value.

Bigger than expected
My adult son and I enjoyed staying here. The house was larger than I thought it would be. It is an old house, which added to the charm. There's an empty parking lot right next to the house, which did not add to the charm, but it's an urban location, so it happens. It was conveniently located and walkable to UK, Target, restaurants, and the loveliest coffee shop. The owner was responsive to communicate when I let her know that sheets were not put on the bed in the room that I stayed in and that some of the silverware was not cleaned well from previous guests (no dishwasher).

We switched maids the month before from our long time lady that moved and added a brand new additional bed that is not even on the listing. She did not realize it and the problem has been remedied. As far as silverware a lot of the previous guests take it upon themselves to clean and put in the drawers so I don’t always have control over all of that. So sorry you did not have a 5 star stay at our house. I certainly pride myself on having the best experience possible. The house is one block from the center of downtown w two parking strips behind it on separate lots we own so we actually have a ton of room realative go the location. I cannot control that there is a parking lot next to the house but it is owned by an investment company and always empty so better than bustled up w cars as you would normally expect with that location. It is a big house and built in 1850. There are trade offs that come w the location and there is no way for me to provide it all. I apologized for the unmade bed but there were several cleaned sets of sheets and it was just an oversight and has not happened since. Carrie

Had a great time! The house was near everywhere we needed to go and had room enough to park 4 cars if we had had that many! Could walk across the street to Joe Bs for great pizza! Great Lexington location!

Great Place to Stay
Although the layout of the house is a bit strange, it worked beautifully for grandparents in the back end and children and grandchildren in the front. Convenient location for us with other family members living close by. Carrie was great to work with.

Location, Location!
This home is conveniently located walking distance to all hotels and restaurants downtown. We were attending a meeting at the Hilton and it was a quick and easy walk. The house has great energy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Being pet friendly was a huge plus. Carrie was a wonderful hostess and helpful from the start to the finish of our stay. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever back to Lexington. Thank you Carrie for sharing your home!

This is a wonderful house. It is spacious but provides privacy for everyone. Loved the decor of the Kentucky Derby. Just a very nice place to stay.

Wonderful house and vacation
We had the most wonderful time! The house is immaculate and comfortable, with enough space to meet everyone's needs. The neighborhood is fun and convenient to many activities. There is even a Target nearby for light shopping. I couldn't think of anywhere nicer to stay!

Stayed here with my kids and pets for state Beta convention. Beautiful and super clean home! Communication with host was excellent! 15 min walk to Rupp Arena. Felt safe even when walking by myself. Quiet neighborhood. We live at the end of a dead end country road so my dogs are used to quite. They weren’t disturbed at all in this downtown Lexington neighborhood. Wonderful little coffee shop across the street. Would love to stay here again.

Before we even left I had to change dates and they were so helpful. They also let us get in a day early on same day notice. The house is in walking distance to coffee and dinner. Driving distance to distillery district and UK. We would stay again. Very cool old house.

Historic South Hill
This place was nice. The layout of the home is a bit confusing at first as it has 4 entry doors. Once inside it is beautifully decorated. The location has its good parts and bad. Very convenient to the local restaurants and shopping, however it is just down the street from the hospital so you hear quiet a few sirens. The host was Awesome! She made us feel at home and didn’t hesitate to offer anything we needed. Overall we had a Great time!
