For all history lovers, this home is just seconds away from the Frankfort Cemetery where you will find many Kentucky Legends, such as Daniel Boone.

Parking:

Guests will have access to only one parking spot at this unit. Parking will be in the rear of the house, where guest will travel down a few steps to the back door of this unit.

Where Bourbon and Politics run free, is where you will find The Bourbon Drop. This unit features vinyl plank floors and wireless internet. The left hand side of this duplex, Bourbon Drop has two cozy bedrooms, one featuring a queen bed and the second features a full. Bourbon on the Hill also offers guests a full kitchen, washer & dryer, living room views to Downtown Frankfort, and just a short commute to live like a local and experience all of Kentucky's finest. An iron and ironing board come with this unit for all of those important events and photos. Residents will enjoy heat and air conditioning during their stay. Your Booking does not include the 4% local Frankfort Occupancy and Transit Tax. This will be sent as an additional request upon approval of booking. While this property is pet friendly, all guests must have their pets pre- approved and pet fees may apply.   • Kentucky State University was chartered in May 1886 as the State Normal School for Colored Persons, only the second state-supported institution of higher learning in Kentucky.[1] During the euphoria of Frankfort's 1886 centennial celebration, the city donated $1,500 towards the purchase of land for a new college on a bluff overlooking Frankfort. The new school formally opened on October 11, 1887, with three teachers, 55 students, and John H. Jackson as president.[1] Recitation Hall (now Jackson Hall), the college's first permanent building, was erected in that year. KSU became a land-grant college in 1890, and the departments of home economics, agriculture and mechanics were added to the school's curriculum.[1] The school produced its first graduating class of five students in the spring of that year. A high school was organized in 1893. This expansion continued into the 20th century in both name and program. In 1902, the name was changed to Kentucky Normal and Industrial Institute for Colored Persons. The name was changed again in 1926 to Kentucky State Industrial College for Colored Persons.

The location was great...super close to downtown and just minutes away from Buffalo Trace. The house was cozy and just enough for the three of us. The walkway going from the parking spot to the house needs a little attention. It rained while we were there and that made that walkway a little scary. The stones are not level and with the wet dirt, could have been an injury. Minus the walkway, the house was great. The little notes from previous guests and the additional little things left by the owners were a nice touch. I would highly recommend this house.

Cute little place. Super clean and really nice thoughtful amenities (extra pillows, throws on the bed, nice towels, laundry detergent). Nicely decorated to fit the area theme too! Conveniently located to borboun trail locations, sightseeing, and dining. Would recommend definitely and would stay again. One word of caution , if you have any mobility issues the shower could be a disadvantage as it is slightly elelvated and the tub covering can be slick. Thanks for sharing your place!

The place was decorated nicely and clean. Small but was great. Now my criticism 1 the steps to get into and out of the house were difficult for us in our late 60s and 70s. No real comfortable outside and the bathtub was slick. The 24 hour notice of the information about the stay was not prompt. The place was close to so much and we had a wonderful time..

It was very easy to reserve and check-in. The house was very clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The allley way to the parking spot is very narrow. I had trouble getting out of my parking spot. the people in the other house was parked on one side and there was a car parked behind them in the alley. I had to room to back out.

Great location and was clean. Toilet is low to the ground so keep that in mind if you are tall or can't squat low. You also share your parking area with another tenant so it can be frustrating if they don't park on their side since there is limited space. These things didn't bother us or take away from our stay though! Would stay there again!

We arrived early evening. Had a bit of a challenge obtaining rental access information via host. Issue was promptly resolved with call VRBO customer service. Enjoyed our stay and downtown Frankfort was lovely.

We could not find the parking space. Tried calling the host. Got a hold of VRBO support and she tried calling the host. The picture has been photo shopped making it look alot more updated then it was. It also did not show the buildings right next to the left of the house. Those were photo shopped out. I did not feel safe at this house. No where to park so we left. We did not even go into the house.VRBO is requesting a refund for us due to false advertising and not being able to get a hold of the host.

We had a great time! Check in was easy, was great place stay for a couple nights. Have a few bars/ restaurants in walking distance. Parking is very tight if you have a larger vehicle . I would stay here again.

Perfect location to all things Bourbon! Cute clean place! Easy check in, i wss a little confused when i read the directions to which location was ours. If you get confused like i did trust me when I say it makes perfect sense when you get there!! I couldn't get the wifi pw to work but it wasn't a big deal to any of us cause service there wasn't an issue!! Now the only downside for me was the bed, BUT i have back issues so im use to that!! On a serious note if you are traveling in a 3/4 ton crewcab truck, parking will be rough, our last night there the people on the other side had 2 vehicles so we parked at one of the neighbors and walked down.

Charming and Quiet

Beautiful home and quiet area. View over city was pretty. Was there over spring break for a short visit for my daughter to visit UK campus. Very clean home and would come back to visit in the future😊
