Los Gatos Garden Inn Hotel

"Had a bit of a minor mixup regarding getting the key for the room I was switching to for a one day extension of my stay that caused a bit of inconvenience and unnecessary stress. The previous guest in the room had taken the key with them by accident and they could not give me a key to the room. The previous guest was able to return the key about five hours later and I was finally able to properly access my room and secure my belongings. It would be a good idea if the establishment had backup keys for the rooms which they currently do not. Parking is always a bit challenging particularly when other guests have massive trucks or large converted travel vans in spots that are barely big enough for a Toyota Corolla. The parking spots are extremely tight narrow and I'm always worried about hitting the wall or other vehicles when trying to park or exit the parking lot. Even with these minor inconveniences it's still my absolutely favorite place to stay when I'm in the area."

"This was my second experience staying at a VRBO, and the experience was positive overall. The neighborhood and cabin was quiet, remote and peaceful. It was clean and maintained. The host was very pleasant and had great communication, and we loved the senior dog that came to say hello.My family and I agreed that there was potential for an even more memorable time, but it was a very reasonably priced listing. The outside yard space could use something to draw you out, as I didn’t find myself with a desire to eat al fresco or hang out there at all. Maybe an umbrella, pillows, etc could help. I am a big cook and appreciated making many meals there, but I would say the pots, pans and toaster could use some updating. My son slept on the fold out couch, but once it was set up you had to climb over it every time to use the bathroom- this was a big challenge for us all. The primary bed was a little too stiff for my liking, but I did like the pillows! In conclusion it was a nice time, but perhaps a one time visit."

"Convenient for our travel plans. Room was big, nice setup. Unfortunately there was hair around the shower and toilet, I didn’t make a big deal but that stuck with me.. the linens and rooms looked and smelled clean. Pool is small, they say heated but doesn’t feel like it, it’s near the trees and bushes and had debris and bugs. Breakfast was decent, all of the staff we encountered were friendly."

"Fantastic location, charming garden property, and gracious host. This is a small suite attached to a private home that has another rental above. Fairly private unit with own entrance at one end of the home. Ample parking. Hot water in the large shower. Bedroom, living room and bathroom. The owner came down the drive to greet us on arrival and delivered a lovely breakfast one morning. The only minor improvements to the listing would be to disclose that there is no laundry in the unit; it is offered “by appointment” elsewhere on the property. Also, the kitchen is a refrigerator and an electric hotplate in the foyer space and a microwave in the living room. The bathroom has the only sink. However, this is actually OK considering that downtown Los Gatos restaurants are in walking distance. If you want a compact but comfortable & very quiet suite in Los Gatos/Monte Sereno: this is your place."

"Beautiful property, very quiet, and peaceful, it was a very clean studio, and host Eric was nice and had good communication. Convenient to downtown Los Gatos and the Mountain Winery where we saw a concert.The kitchen was well equipped, with allot of kitchen gadgets, but could have had more actual utensils, pots, pans etc for cooking. I admit I did not see the video walkthrough of the place, but the pictures showed it having a sofa bed and a bed, it only had a bed. I thought I was staying somewhere with two beds, so my daughter and I ended up bunking together; but the bed was very comfortable. FYI-There are some funky mini steps leading into the unit and in the hall leading to the kitchen, my open toed sandals caught on them both, I ended up falling going into the kitchen. Also, there is no place to sit in the unit, unless you pull out some fold up chairs or sit on the bed. But the view outside on the patios is so nice you won’t care. Parking was a challenge for the larger SUV I drive, be sure to back into your spot, unless you want to do an 8 point or rosk hitting a wall turn to leave. Despite some of the challenges, the place is a nice and peaceful getaway. Just wanted to share a bit more about the experience, so people understand what they are booking; it is a nice place. host was nice."

"Gorgeous home with so many cozy extras, and only 10 minutes from downtown Los Gatos…. It could not have been more perfect! We loved the location, the amazing deck surrounded by redwoods, the grill and the fire pit… just to name a few! Rachel was a great host - attentive and responsive. We will not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you for sharing your amazing home with us!"
Family Favorite-Mickey Dream Loft + TREE house, A Tiny Home Adventure

"This property deserves a review to help others understand the layout. We are two middle aged adults and it worked for us. If you have young children this is THE PLACE TO BE. The unit has 2 lofts that are 3.5-4’ tall both have a toilet and sink. Both have tall ladders to climb to get up. We looked up there and left it at that. But they would be such fun rooms for kids. There is a treehouse that would also be really fun for kids or teens. The main house is well equipped. The issue we had is since there are two of us - one of us had to crawl over top the other to go to the bathroom (while in bed). Parking can be a challenge as a lot of cars seem to park on this street but it is easily walkable to so many places. The entrance is cute with passion vine, berries oranges and lemons. I will absolutely stay here again when traveling alone. We both enjoyed it but agreed it is made for 1 adult and some children. Very nice people own it There’s a rental beside this unit. There’s also a rental in the home. Both the woman and the man renting those were very nice. This is a safe neighborhood."
