We have been on many vacations never have we been charged extra for them to clean the room. And fyi the room was not that clean when we got there with panties in the trash can. "I absolutely loved this place, so much so I extended my stay not once but twice! I would have been happy to never leave. The location is fantastic. The only downside was the totally unnecessary Buddha bar type disco and MC in the outside patio restaurant, which was so out of keeping with the sublime surroundings. I used to go to the original Buddha bar in Paris 30 years ago, but I do not want this in a beautiful sleepy lakeside hotel while on holiday. I also felt for the people whose rooms were on the front with the noise every night. Whoever brainchild those did not understand the hotels unique charm. I would leave the property in the evenings, take a walk and eat elsewhere else to avoid it. Thankfully my room was in the back. "

"This hotel is lovely. While it is not a 4 or 5 star, it is very nice. It is clean and details are noticed. It is on the lake with great views. The breakfast is amazing, probably one of the best that I've seen anywhere with local produce, homemade healthy items. The restaurant for lunch and dinner features small plates which are also very good. Highly recommend."
