"America, the proprietor was so lovely and such a beautiful spirit. The manor was precious, The grounds pretty, fire pits and Adirondack chairs on the lawn to enjoy.. such interesting stories behind all the museum like articles. if you take the time to hear some or just enjoy them visually. The only thing I would say, is that I do not believe there is an elevator And so your luggage needs to be carried up the flights of stairs. So it might be difficult for somebody who couldn't handle that. But being that the case, I could see her getting her sons or husband to help if need be.. lovely lovely people"

"Overall my husband and I definitely enjoyed our stay and would recommend. Our room was beautiful, we were in an upper valley king room. It wasn’t totally clear when we booked but these are basically on the second floor of a motel style building. I loved the huge window that was aligned with the bed; this meant you could lay in bed and still enjoy the views. We also loved the saunas and enjoyed the pool, which actually did feel heated! Also, free S'mores was a great touch. Things that could be better: breakfast basket- this was definitely overpriced for what it is. We did it one morning and then the next morning we just went to Phoenicia diner which was similar in price except you got two full entrees. Another thing is they could definitely add more pool chairs by the pool; they had 8 and they were all full the day we arrived until around 5pm. They definitely have room for more so that was a missed opportunity considering the number of rooms they have. Lastly, I think they should be more forthcoming about the presence of bears. We know there are bears in the Catskills but we’re not from the area and I asked one night by the fire if they ever had bears come through the grounds and they said nope, only ever the parking lot. Well sure enough that night at 11pm there was a bear wreaking havoc outside of the room beneath us. We were thankful we hadn’t still been by the fire pit when it came."

"The Bradstan is an EXPERIENCE! Not only is the hotel beyond beautiful, it’s impeccably clean, the staff is incredibly kind and helpful, the grounds are beautiful and the facilities are fantastic! They have thought of everything from beautiful fireplaces and sitting areas all the way to toiletry items and bath robes. The breakfast was complimentary so I had mid expectations but I was wrong! Delicious over the top hot foods, fresh fruits and pastries, fresh juices and a coffee bar too. The Homestead restaurant was also amazing and delicious. Due to extreme rain, we did not get to wander the grounds as much as I would have liked, but I will be sure to do it next time because I know I will be back! Once we got into the car and were about 45 minutes into our drive, the hotel called because I had forgotten my charger in the room. They were even kind enough to ship it home for me. I don’t know of any other hotel that would have done this. I wish I could give the Bradstan more than five stars, because this was truly an exceptional experience! ⭐️"
