"The hotel spends a lot on cleaning staff, and the rooms and common areas are in great condition. The facilities were well maintained and the pool very nice. The pool chairs were tired and not comfortable. The Abalone restaurant was understaffed and consequently the food and service were not great. There are no smart TV's and it seems as if nobody has ever heard about their existance. They charge a $35/day "resort fee" which seems like an upcharge that they should just be honest about when you book the room, and price it in. Nobody likes surprises. The check out took about 25 minutes as the front desk staff seemed very confused about how to run the computers and various charges. The bartender Shane was excellent so all is forgiven!"

"You are paying for the location, there is no doubt. Common areas like the lobby and restaurants are outstanding. The rooms while mostly clean and very comfortable, seemed very dated. We had two rooms. Both sinks were stopped up, refrigerator was stinky, windows filthy…and couch was gross. But not because it was “dirty“ I just think it needs to be freshened up. Staff is excellent, common areas are gorgeous. And you can’t beat the view/location. The biggest disappointment was two of the four elevators were out of commission on a very busy weekend. When traveling with a disabled person, that made it very difficult to navigate."

"Paid for breakfast at booking...waitress charged me for grits and juice....don't pre-purchase the breakfast. I'm an IHG member...booked on Expedia...they will not give you your points. If you don't turn your wrist band back in they charge you $5.00...IHG makes up resort charges out of the thin air.....be careful!!!!!"

"The hotel room was very clean and cozy, the view to the beach excellent, even though they have to renew the dinner, the kitchen was super clean.The staff was friendly, I would stay again in the hotel."
