"I stayed here with my adult son in a room with two queen beds. It was great to have valet parking taken care of for 23 dollars a day. When looking at places to stay, parking was a big issue and this hotel just takes care of it for you. The location was so central that we did not need to take the car out until we were leaving. The room was really nice and clean and had a couch seating area. All the staff were friendly and attentive. They all need raises. The complementary breakfast had lots of variety. They have a bar that serves bar food until I think 10-11pm. We didn’t use the pool or gym, but they seemed to be nice. I will be returning to Santa Cruz for genealogical research and hope to be able to stay here."

"If you want a property right next to the beach (1 minute walk), this is the property for you. Very big home with two kitchens and 2 living rooms as well as 2 outdoor decks, multiple bathrooms, a huge family dining table, amazing game room with all the games and beach supplies you could want, with plentiful driveway parking, washer and dryer, 2 minute walk to delicious mom & pop restaurant with tacos/enchiladas/etc and small corner store. Of note, it is required to wash, dry and replace all dishes that are used, dump all trash in outdoor dumpster, and wash/dry/fold all towels used. Child and pet friendly. We ran into a bit of a time-crunch at the end of the trip, but understandable request. We highly recommend and would stay again if in the area."

"The hotel had a very quirky feel about it. From the outside of the building, it looks akin to a nightclub. The rooms were a decent size and tastefully decorated. Starbucks coffee pods were a nice treat. The pool & jacuzzi were first rate. The pool did get overtaken by children screeching and screaming from quite early in the day through til late afternoon, but that’s not a criticism of the hotel. But it would have been nice to have had a swim without the children dive bombing into the pool constantly. Perhaps an adult only swim time before 10am and after 5pm would be welcomed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were first rate. I enjoyed my stay very much. Recommended."
