Staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Yonkers was comfortable. The property looked clean and reception staff was very helpful. There was a foul smell in the hallway near my room. When I reported it, they took care of it immediately. The room was inviting, however there is a sign in the bathroom that says they only clean every other day. I stayed 3 nights; and no one ever cleaned my room. The shower appeared clean, but there was buildup on the caulking that came off after I had a shower. It appears as if the housekeeping staff may have cut corners when they cleaned. The bed was comfortable. Having a mini-fridge and microwave in the room is a convenience. The complementary breakfast was good. I was surprised that they served scrambled eggs, sausage and even freshly made waffles in addition to a continental breakfast. Overall, my stay was comfortable, but housekeeping needs a little improvement.
