Private, cozy cabin on 13 acres with two ponds

Private, cozy cabin on 13 acres with two ponds

8/10 Good
"We enjoyed our stay at Crowe Cabin very much! It was exactly what we needed. We came for a location-specific family event and we needed something close by. Having the kitchen helped with all the dietary restrictions our family has and kept us from having to eat out every meal. That was a blessing. Our hosts were very responsive and quick to fix when the a/c had troubles (we went during a very hot week!). The property is very peaceful and we had no problems finding it, even in the dark. The cabin is comfortable and spacious with a mixture of antiques and newer items. Everything was clean. The lofts are open, no doors, but have fabric dividers for privacy. We enjoyed the family games as well. There is a city wide issue with water pressure and the host family is working on that. That made doing laundry and balancing showers a bit tricky but we figured it out. The pots and pans are older and scratched so bring your own if that is an issue. We enjoyed our stay and will book again when we have another family meet up."

Couples' Hideaway - Relaxing barndominium with hammock, firepit, & covered patio

8/10 Good
"This is our second year staying here. It’s in close proximity to our family and the reunion we are in town for. Also, the bedroom door doesn’t close. It’s comfortable and generally meets our needs as just a couple. Not appropriate for two couples or a family without the ability to fully close the doors. My other reservation for making it 5 stars is the flooring in front of the bathroom. It has bowed up so much that the bathroom door doesn’t really close all the way and is a big tripping hazard, as it is uneven and bouncy. This should really be addressed. There are also several areas on the walls that have been patched, but not painted. Just an aesthetics thing. Otherwise comfortable and the kitchen had everything I needed to make food for the reunion potluck. Thanks for a pleasant stay."

"The cabin was very clean and comfortable. It was very cozy and peaceful. We spent mornings and evenings on the deck that looks out over a small lake. We did not make use of them, but we noticed there were kayaks available, fishing docks and a rustic gazebo on the property. We enjoyed our stay and would rent this property again when in the area. Gloria was very friendly and helpful."

"This cabin was the perfect little retreat to unplug for the weekend. The pictures really do not do this property justice! We had the best time cooking over a fire, fishing, reading and just relaxing! Everything we needed was in the cabin and the hosts were a simple text away if we needed anything at all! David met us at the property to walk us through the cabin and answer any questions and there was even a plate of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies! Highly recommend and cannot wait to visit again!"
