We spent one night only and it was the perfect location in the center of Vulcano, close to the shops, the port and the start of the trail to the crater. Our room was very clean and gave on the very cute porch of the hotel. The owner was extremely friendly and welcoming, and we had a nice chat with him. He recommended a couple of places for us to have dinner. We were not rushed to check-out after we came back from our morning hike the next day. A great place to stay, in my opinion.

We spent 1 night on Vulcano in the really nice Pensione La Giara. It is conveniently situated on a relatively quiet street on a little over 5 min walk from the port, and on route to the path ascending to the vulcano. We were in two neighbouring bedrooms with shared bathroom for both rooms, which was perfect for our family of four. The owner on arrival advised on the trip up the vulcano and on nearby restaurants. Since we were leaving with an early ferry, the (very nice) breakfast was opened a bit earlier especially for us. Great experience!

Confort et agrément pour un prix très raisonnable

Accueil sympathique par une jeune employée parlant français (un autre membre du personnel parle français et nous a conseillé pour des balades). Logement dans une jolie maison entourée de fleurs à une centaine de mètres du bâtiment principal où se trouvent les autres chambres (du coup, il faut aller à l'accueil pour profiter du WIFI gratuit). Situation à proximité du port (commerces, restaurants...) et sur la route d'où part le chemin qui monte au volcan. Appartement vaste et confortable. Agréable terrasse à partager avec un autre logement (mais chaque partie est bien délimitée). Bon petit-déjeuner servi sur la terrasse extérieure du toit du bâtiment principal. Seul regret : il n'est servi qu'à partir de 8 h, ce qui est tard quand on est randonneur et qu'on veut marcher avant la chaleur. Mais sauf exception, c'est la règle générale dans les Éoliennes.

particolare con una posizione comoda.

Particolare perché la struttura rende bene il gusto del posto con bel portico ed una bella terrazza ma anche perché l'arredamento include una serie di oggetti che incuriosiscono e offrono spunti tradizionali e storici : un intero carretto siciliano (a me che non piacevano ora visti da vicino sono delle opere d'arte) sulla terrazza, una bacheca con una casacca di un ufficiale del Congo Belga (mi dicono un bisnonno), stampe tedesche delle Eolie chissà di quale visitatore del secolo scorso o di fine di quello precedente. Comodo perché il centro abitato è piccolo ed una posizione mediana lascia tutto a 5 - 10 min di strada a piedi (porto, centro, inizio salita per il cratere e naturalmente spiaggia). Colazione semplice ma con piacevoli sorprese (un giorno l'uva appena raccolta, un giorno i fichi del vicino, un giorno ma non sempre le brioche di pasticceria). Le ragazze della colazione simpatiche e disponibili. Le stanze sono in linea con il posto con quanto serve (comodo anche il frigo in stanza). Avendo il sonno leggero l'unica cosa è che la ns. stanza dava sulla strada a piano terra e quindi i rumori anche delle consegne di mattina presto erano percepibili, ma credo sia esperienza comune anche alle altre case della via. Avendo acquistato un pacchetto non sono in grado di giudicare il rapporto Q/€. Posso dunque dire che la combinazione volo/hotel è risultata in linea con le aspettative e quanto ritrovato

Sehr schöne Unterkunft im landestypischen Stil

Die Tage auf Vulcano waren insgesamt super. Bei paoloeinen Roller mieten und los geht's. Strände um süden bei Gelso, ein Muss. Schwarzer Sand, aber vorsicht sehr heiß.

Valutazione più che positiva. All'arrivo nella struttura non era disponibile la camera prenotata per 5 persone ma ci hanno dato subito due appartamenti tripli in una struttura vicina, diciamo che è andata benissimo. Camere pulite, spaziose ed accoglienti con terrazzino. La colazione è servita nel terrazzino panoramico, ben arredato, veramente bello. Il titolare veramente gentile ed ospitale, ci ha messo a disposizione la doccia sul terrazzo prima della partenza dall'isola. Lo consiglio a tutti, più che ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo!

Close to everything

This place is close to Vulcano, the mud bath, shops and restaurants. We were able to walk to everything so it was perfect for us. The staff and room was great. Breakfast is on the rooftop which has a great view.

Ein gutes Quartier, um einige entspannte Tage auf Vulcano zu verbringen. Restaurants, Lebensmittelläden etc. sind alle in wenigen Minuten erreichbar.
