"Room was very outdated. Carpet with stains. Toilet would barely work. They put us right by the entrance/exit, so you heard people enter/leave all the time. Room was not like the pictures online. "

The staff went above and beyond, checking in on us regularly over the following days and anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. "Was ok for the price as it was near to St Patrick’s day. We arrived late at night and the night porter that let us in was lovely but his English wasn’t great so couldn’t get the info we needed. We had booked a double room but ended up with 3 singles ! Not ideal for a romantic weekend away. The noise at night was very loud but we knew the hotel had a nightclub so if you’re ok with loud music until the early hours then you’ll be ok. The hotel is quite run down, it appears they are in the stages of renovations. No hairdryer, asked for one at the reception but it never got delivered! Would I stay here again? I don’t think so, the location is excellent but that’s all it has in it’s favour unfortunately:0("

"Staff were amazing all so friendly food was first class service was excellent the spa is undergoing renovations but the temporary massage suite was incredibal. It’s our second time at Doonbeg and will be back for sure. "
