My only issue was that I did not receive the discounted rates that LXR offered because I made my reservations through Expedia. I feel Expedia should be more transparent or at least or the same discounts as the hotel does.

Short stay at Short Stories (2 nights). Great location across from the Farmers Market and the Grove. Nearby buses gave easy access to the museums and the tourist run near the Chinese Theatre. Hotel courtyard is very charming and atmospheric.

I love Plaza La Reina! The rooms are spacious and well appointed, the hotel has old world Italian (or Spanish?) charm, the staff is super helpful, and it is located near many restaurants. All Great!
