We are excited to share our love for Lake Gaston and this beautiful custom-built home on Poe Creek with you and your family. Imagine everything you ever wanted in a vacation home with breathtaking sunset and main lake views! You and your kids can jump off the top of the boathouse into 10' Deep Water! Get a tan in a chaise lounge on top of the boathouse while monitoring the kids as they play on the water mat or trampoline. Enjoy a cold drink at the bar in the shaded area under the boathouse deck and you won't believe the photos you will be able to take of the breathtaking sunset and the main lake from the top of the boathouse. While you watch the sunset, enjoy appetizers at the many deck top tables. Have a seat around the counter at the deluxe outdoor kitchen while grilling, listening to music and grab a cold drink from the fridge. Meanwhile, guests can gather in the sitting area under the pergola while s'mores are made at the adjacent fire pit. Relax in the hot tub after a fun day on the lake.

The house is located just off the main lake with a gently sloping lot to the water and boathouse. Deep water off of the boathouse. There is easy boat access to Goat Island and the main lake with no bridges or culverts to navigate.

Inside there are upper and lower level family rooms with open floor plans, large flat-screen TVs, a great lower level gathering spot for playing pool, poker or a board game. There are 2 fully equipped kitchens and a dining room. Enjoy a cup of coffee every morning in the 'Starbucks' area with 4 soft, comfortable chairs overlooking the lake! There is a large deck off the upper level with multiple dining tables and a sitting area in the shade.

All the kids or an entire family could get away in the extra large 2nd floor bonus room with 1 TV, 2 couches, full bathroom, and 2 queen beds. 5 of the 6 bedrooms are masters with large, luxurious bathrooms! 4 of the 6 bedrooms are waterfront with sliding glass doors.

Main Level:
Bedroom#1: King, master bath, sitting area with couch and chair, opens to deck, 1 TV.
Bedroom#2: Queen, master bath, opens to deck.

Lower level:
Bedroom#3: Queen, master bath, opens to patio.
Bedroom #4: 2 Queen beds, master bath, opens to patio, 1 TV.
Bedroom #5: 2 bunk beds (4 twin beds), 1 flat screen TV, Xbox One S.

Upper Level:
Bedroom #6: 2 sofas, 2 queen beds, 1 TV, full bathroom.

Outside: 2 Gas grills, large deck off main level with multiple tables and sitting area. Large lower level patio with multiple tables, pergola, outdoor kitchen, hot tub and fire pit.

Boat House: Large upper deck with multiple tables, chairs and chaise lounges. Lower level bar with seating for 10 in the shade, ceiling fans. 2 slips with lifts (1 pontoon, 1 v-hull) and 3rd side slip. 1 jet ski lift.

This house has so many great areas to gather together and enjoy family and friends or to get away for a little privacy! Enjoy it all! Definitely the best home, location, water, fun and value on the lake!

There are several marinas and restaurants on the lake for gas, good food and boat rentals.

The closest public boat ramp, Summit Boat Ramp, is 5.3 miles from the house on 432 Bluebird Rd Littleton, NC 27850.

The home is conveniently located near Littleton, NC with Piggly Wiggly, Dollar General and a few restaurants. Roanoke Rapids is only 13 miles with Food Lion, restaurants, shopping and medical facilities.

BED LINENS ARE PROVIDED. Bring your own towels (bath and beach), 13 gal trash bags, small trash bags, dishwasher and laundry detergents, toiletries, and paper products. Bed info if you want to bring your own sheets: 1 king bed, 6 queen beds, and 4 twin bunk beds.

Damage Deposit: A damage deposit of $500 is required and held by VRBO. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent and is returned within (14) days after departure, provided all rental agreement provisions are met. THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO PETS ALLOWED!

WEEKLY SUMMER RENTALS ONLY - Shorter stays are available in the off season.

Great house and fantastic location

One of the best properties we have rented at Lake Gaston. Home has a great layout for friends and family to all have group and private areas to enjoy. Upper deck grill was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Just Incredible

We were very thorough when looking at places to stay. This house stands out above the rest because of so many things. 1-Its location, quiet road, but also the water off the backyard is deep and swimmable, not swampy like some homes. 2-Amentiites so many fun toys that the host is happy to share with guests 3-Hot tub really nice for the kids to warm up in after the lake 4- So much space, to sleep and entertain all ages so everyone can do what they enjoy. We will be back!

The Place to Be

We really loved staying any the property. The hostees property had plenty of appliances, dishes, silverware , glasses, plates etc for the kitchen. There were plenty of extra bedding. The house was very spacious and comfortable. We also loved the back deck areas. The travel to to get to stores, restaurants were close. We highly recommend this location.

Amazing Property!!

This was our first time at this property and will not be our last!! Great location and great house that was super clean. Although the pictures are great the actual house is even more spacious and roomy. Plenty of space for our group to settle in together... or apart if desired. The boat house was fantastic and most of our party enjoyed jumping off the second story into the lake waters that were plenty deep for the activity. Being situated at the mouth of this wide cove provides both the cove feeling AND main lake feeling. It was the best of both worlds. The lake toys were provided as stated and allowed for a variety of fun activities. Can't wait to go back!!!

Beautiful Home

We had a wonderful time at this house for spring break. The house is amazing and extremely clean! The whole family loved the kayaks, canoe and pedal boat. It was great to spend each evening around the fire pit watching the beautiful sunsets. The house is beautiful and Scott was very responsive to our questions. We will definitely be back!

This is a home we have rented year after year, that speaks volume. The layout works for our family, plenty of room to be together or alone. The additional appliances make cooking for a large group a must. Owners continue to keep it update which is great to see each year. Will be back again.

Excellent Experience

I've been staying here in May every year since 2017. The property is always in great shape and the owners are quick to respond to any questions/issues. Everyone that stays here loves the house, boat dock, and access to kayaks/canoes. There is enough to do in the house if the weather doesn't cooperate (pool table, card table, movies, etc.). We will definitely continue to stay here.

Wonderful All Around

What a fantastic experience and 3-day vacation! Traveled to Lake Gaston with close friends and their children for Easter weekend. The house and communication with owners exceeded our expectations. For starters, the main level great room was spacious, yet cozy and allowed for all to enjoy memorable group meals. The downstairs living room area provided a fun space for tv watching and games at night. The poker table was a great addition. The kids and older teens has a blast using the water trampoline— even in the 60 degree rain! All of us relished in the beauty of the lake from the double decker boat house once the rain cleared on day two. The large hot tub, paddle boat, kayak, canoe, paddle board, and fishing rods provided so much fun for all. We are already talking about heading back to Lake Gaston and this house!

Amazing time!!

First- The house was above and beyond the pictures and listing description. The only way to capture the beauty is to see it for yourself. We have been staying at lake houses for several years for summer vacation and everyone agreed this one was the best! The town is very small but there is so much to do we never needed outside entertainment away from the house. Two full kitchens made it easy to prepare meals for our large group. The kitchen is very well stocked. The bedrooms were large and accommodated everyone. The teens loved the room at the very top because it was slightly secluded. The dock was amazing and most of party jumped from the top. A few were to nervous! Lol. The water toys especially the mat and trampoline were the biggest hit! The kids played every day on those. We rented a boat for 2 days and loved tubing on lake Gaston. Fishing was also great every morning and evening. All around an amazing stay in a beautiful house!!

Lovely lakeside vacation home

Our group (three families with adult children) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful lakefront home. Some of the things we really appreciated: * There were three coffee makers on the main level and an additional coffee maker in the kitchen on the lower level. * Plenty of cups, dishes & silverware. * Lots of pots, pans, utensils. * All appliances that we used were in good working order. * Tons of seating, both inside and outside! * AC did a great job keeping up, except at night. We were there during a particularly hot week and were surprised how cool the home stayed all day. * Lovely lighting all around the property meant we didn't need to use annoying overhead lights for everything. Perfect soft light lamps abound! * We never ran out of ice! Seriously - the main level refrigerator & freezer produced a ton of ice, plus the ice maker on the lower level was a great bonus. * Internet was great, as was cable (watched Olympics at night) Really minor issues noted: * Some of the interior door locks (press button locks) wouldn't function. This was most inconvenient on bathroom doors, but also noted it on some of the bedroom doors. * Fridge on the mail level made a sound like a phone ringing that took us a few days to figure out - you'll only hear it when you open/close the fridge doors and the house is quiet. * Dock edge cleats installed backwards, which almost caused a pinched finger to two. Just be cautious! Overall highly recommend! Host was lovely and responsive, also!
