WONDERFUL STAY

Great location. Loved the access to the lake and having the pool as well. Despite some thunderstorms(yeah!-we don't get many of those in Oregon) we had a blast. Loved the elevated covered deck... We spent most of our time there when not in the water. Beds very comfortable as well.

Amazing Stay

This place is even more amazing than the pictures and reviews show. Lake, pool, and game room were so fun for the kids. The deck and dock were relaxing for the adults. The week went by so fast. Valerie was super respinsive. Would love to come back yearly!

Beautiful property

Beautiful lake house and property with great outdoor space! We especially loved hanging out on back deck overlooking pool and lake. Plenty of activities to do at house with pool, kayaking, and fishing from dock! We also enjoyed the lake by renting a boat for a few days. Definitely will be back in the future!

I can’t say enough positive things about this vacation home. Beautifully appointed, incredibly clean and every possible item you can think of to cook. I used both the crock pot and the waffle maker! Second time I have rented this house and already booked a third trip.

Best Vacation Ever

As a family we were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. It was so nice to have our children and grandchildren all together. The home was perfect with enough space for everyone to gather together and to have space in private. The pool and the boathouse were the main hangout. We are a water group so fishing, swimming and boating make us happy and your home offered it all. Great place and great host who answered our question quickly.

Beautiful Property

Beautiful house and property, we especially enjoyed the outdoor space. The covered deck was my favorite space, you could easily watch kids in the pool and enjoy the views of the lake. House was equipped with everything we needed and owner was responsive to any questions we had.

Wonderful vacation!

We have stayed in several homes at Lake Gaston over the years and this home was definitely our favorite. The home was beautiful and had everything you would need for an enjoyable vacation. Our family loved cooling off at the pool on all those hot days. Also, enjoyed fishing and hanging out at the dock as well. We definitely hope to vacation here in the future!

Absolutely beautiful home!

Wonderful Vacation!

Our family had an awesome time at Pretty Creek! The kids loved the pool and the adults loved the hot tub! The kitchen was fully stocked and there was room for everyone. Amazing lake house

This is our second year at the house. We loved it last year but the changes the homeowners made are incredible. The covered deck is very comfortable as well as the dock area and pool. We have already reserved a week for next year.

Five star vacation

What a positively fabulous vacation home! The pictures simply do not do it justice. The home was beautifully decorated, immaculate, and fully supplied with so many items that made our trip easier. This host thought of everything from pool towels and sunblock, to spices, and even a waffle maker. I have already shared this listing with 3 friends and we will certainly rebook if we make it back to Lake Gaston. We had a relaxing week on the lake but this home was what made it a perfect vacation.

First Time Lake House Renter

Our first time renting a lake house and we are sold! This home and the decor is charming and welcoming, and very well stocked. From kitchen appliances and necessities to pool toys, beach towels and everything in between. This is an impeccably kept home inside and out with no detail overlooked! Third Time!!!

This is our third year at this beautiful home and again, we had a marvelous time!! The new addition to the back deck/porch has been fantastic and we spent a great deal of time there. The pool was a hit with the kids and adults and a great way to cool off after a hot day on the lake. Thanks Valerie for your prompt response to our questions and thanks for sharing your home with us! Amazing house at Lake Gaston

I've been visiting Lake Gaston for over 20 years and this property was by far the nicest. The amenities are very family friendly and there is nothing that we would have changed. The pool offered a great way to cool off during the afternoons and the dock was great for fishing and swimming. There was tons of space for everyone in the family and the locking back deck doors were great to keep our adventurous toddler safe. We rented a boat and jetski from a nearby business and the dock had excellent tie offs for both. The fire pit was a big hit and offered a perfect view of the lake at sunset. Valerie was a great host and was extremely responsive throughout our stay. We're already planning our return trip and will be counting the days until our next stay!

A Great Vacation House!

My family and I had a fantastic week at the house. Perfect location right on the lake with a great boat house for plenty of fishing and swimming from. The pool is awesome and was a huge hit with everyone, as was the hot tub at night. The house was clean, with plenty of towels and extra blankets. The ping pong table was also a big hit. Overall, just a great vacation. Valerie, the owner, is very nice and easygoing. She was instantly responsive to one minor issue and had it resolved very quickly. The area itself is very laid-back and not "tourist-y" at all. Very easy to relax here. I most highly recommend this house. We are planning on returning next year!

Perfect location

9 of us stayed at this property and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house sits on a quiet finger of the lake. Our kids loved the pool, especially since it was so hot the week we went. The dock was so comfortable and spacious! Every morning was spent sitting there enjoying the peace and quiet with our coffee and fishing was great as well. We caught huge catfish and had ourselves a fish fry that evening. Hint, they love Wonder bread! We didn't even turn on the TV although it was nice that they have one on the dock. We used the kayaks which was so fun. 4 teenagers took the basement which has a beautiful big bathroom, game room and a huge TV. Not too much to do in the area so don't expect to go out to dinner every night or have activities other than renting boats, jet skis, pontoon boats. This is a great place for relaxing. The kitchen was fully stocked and had a spare coffee maker thank goodness. Valerie was easy to get a hold of when there was some minor issues. I loved not having to bring linens. On a side note, is sad to see that some renters don't take care of the houses they rent. I would hope more people feel they need to treat the rentals better than they treat their own homes.

Discruntled Renter

Most of our family could only come for the first three days of the rental, so that was high priority time for us. Upon arrival, we found the basement toilet room (no sink or shower in there!) had a soaking wet carpet and reeked of mildew, so we closed it and the basement bedroom off. That meant one guest now sleeping on a blow up bed upstairs. Then, the tub in the guest bathroom upstairs filled up during showers and only drained after quite some time. This was a result of the septic filter being clogged, which was likely the cause of the basement bathroom flooding as well. The guest toilet and master bath toilets were struggling to flush. This lasted till Sun evening. So basically everyone was using the master bath as it was working better than the others. The coffee maker also didn't work but this request was ignored by the owner. So we had to drive 15 minutes each way every morning to get to closest coffee shop. After the septic repair was made the red alert light remained on until the next day. The house AC also had clogged filters or an underperforming motor as the house would get up to 80 degrees during the day despite the thermostat being set at 70. Nothing was done to address this despite our regular calls. We still salvaged a reasonably good week but felt we deserved a partial refund for our trouble. The owner completely ignored this request. I would not work with this person ever again.
