"I had stayed at the Hangzhou West Lake Yueshang Yunshe Boutique Homestay for 5 days and 4 nights, and those were one of the best stays I had. This was the first time I decided to stay in a homestay and travelled solo. When I was staying there, the homestay was mostly occupied by female solo travellers. It was amazing as we will gather at the common area at the end of the day and share what we had done for the day. It reminds very much of a university dormitory. The area is very safe, with police and citizen patrols who responds quickly whenever there are any suspicious people dwelling about. For travellers who would like to experience a slice of life in Hangzhou, the homestay provides the exact experience as it is situated in the middle of a residential estate with an award winning cafe just a stone's throw away. The people also makes the place. The staff (3 lovely young ladies and a very friendly aunty) was super attentive and made my stay very comfortable. The food made by them (if you choose to include meals in your stay) is very homey and healthy. The ingredients are bought fresh everyday at the farmer's market. Location wise, it is close to some amazing scenic spots and hidden gems. The only downside of this place is the lack of convenient stores around, but this is easily rectified with Taobao and Meituan, where you can get anything delivered right to the homestay. All in all, this place had become my home away from home and I will definitely be back again."
