Our stay at the Protea Livingstone was amazing! The staff were so friendly and helpful, our breakfasts were delicious each morning. Our room was comfortable, warm and had everything we needed. It was the perfect place to stay for us to explore Livingstone for 5 days! It is a beautiful hotel and we highly recommend it.

Our stay was awesome because the hotel is like a boutique hotel and all the staff are excellent from the front desk to the cleaners Maintenance and of course the waiters. I must give praise to the 2 barmen Dominic and Jerome who provided the most excellent service thorghout our stay . Our thanks also go to the tours and trips we took thanks to the in-house travel shop We will definitely be back soon 5 star experience

Beautiful and comfortable stay for 2 nights. The only thing that people should be aware of is the amount of mosquitos and bugs that might also show up in rooms. The hotel offers mosquito nets and bug spray, it's just a bit of an adjustment to handle that part.

On the night of arrival . The hotel was serving a buffet with limited options. They did not even allow ordering from the menu despite their restricted buffet options. The following day, during breakfast , there was poor service . Not enough utensils like the cereal section without bowls. The cooking station had one person on eggs and bacon and it was hard for the person to navigate both ends. Took close to 20-30min just to have bacon. I think their restaurant service could be better. Checkin was smooth.

While the property itself is beautiful, the rooms are incredibly dated and service is often slow. There are no outlets next to the beds on either side and no outlets in the bathroom. Your only option to charge/use your phone/other electric device is across the room at the desk. Oftentimes, I had to rely on my portable charger if I had two electric devices that needed power. I couldn’t even do my hair in the bathroom because the only hair dryer is in the desk and cannot be pulled out to be used. Furthermore, the room itself has very few light fixtures, making it hard to see. Additionally, à la carte food service is incredibly slow. We had ordered wraps for a quick lunch, but 45 min later, we had to nudge the staff to check on them.

The overall stay was descent. The hotel staff are extremely professional and go the extra mile in ensuring you have a pleasant stay. I would like to raise that the standards of offerings in the breakfast buffet was really not up to standards. I was fortunate to visit Protea Hotel Ndola a day after my stay at the Protea Hotel Livingstone and I met a completely different Service Standards. The breakfast had a vast variety of options and for a hotel that is of the same brand to see such a great gap in its service I would like to think that it was just a one time thing and there’s a great breakfast menu available to all Protea Hotels ( Bonvoy Marriott). Overall the stay was descent.
