This was the view from our Llandovery cottage, just north of the Brecon Beacons in Wales. I have no idea how old they are, but I'm pretty sure they belong in some form of fairytale. #lifeatexpedia

The Brecon Beacons (Welsh: Bannau Brycheiniog) is a mountain range in South Wales. In a narrow sense, the name refers to the range of Old Red Sandstone peaks which lie to the south of Brecon. Sometimes referred to as "the central Beacons" they include South Wales' highest mountain, Pen y Fan. The range forms the central section of the Brecon Beacons National Park

The West End Cafe in the town is excellent and we sheltered in there until we could check-in at the pub.

We liked the fact that we could walk short distances and get to a choice of places for dinner. The town square was very pretty.
