"Arrived and no one had any idea which tent we were supposed to be in. Originally taken to one that had no made beds, litter, broken chairs and an inflatable dirty lazy spa (advised as a hot tub). Then got told to my relief wasn’t our tent. Instead we were taken to another tent that was transparent in a small field squished in with another 5-6 tents and had a dirty deflated paddling pool in the centre. Again no beds were made so we had to wait outside with our stuff while a young lad threw some...

Superb location - ideally situated in easy walking distance of pub, shops and beach. Small but fenced garden for the dogs. "We had a lovely stay at Plas Y Bryn Manor. It’s a beautiful old building with lots of character, once home to David Lloyd George, one of the UK’s former prime ministers. From the moment we arrived, our host gave us a really warm welcome and shared a bit about the history, which made it feel extra special. The breakfast staff were all so friendly and polite. The complementary breakfast was a highlight – it felt really social sitting around a long antique table in the main reception hall. The location is perfect too: peaceful and quiet with stunning mountain views, and you can even see the water in the distance. There’s plenty to do nearby as well. We came for the Menai Food Festival and the next day went cycling around Anglesey, which was brilliant. All in all, it’s a great mix of history, comfort, and incredible scenery – a wonderful spot for a relaxing getaway."
