Further afield, but still within easy touring distance, are a host of attractions: Powis Castle (National Trust), with its world famous gardens, is just 20 miles away; the Welsh Coast, with its fine beaches, is less than an hour’s drive; Rhayader and the Elan Valley are 40 minutes away; the Shropshire towns of Ludlow and Shrewsbury are within easy reach, as are the popular North Wales destinations of Llangollen and Snowdonia. A picturesque region, ideal for an action packed holiday or a relaxing break.
