Hotel DU LAC Locarno
10/10 Excellent
"I loved this place so much. We were there for the summer music festival and the location was incredible. Staff was incredible and even let us check in early. They treated us like family and we were so happy to be there. WE had a lovely view of the lake plus we were walking distance from all of the food trucks and restaurants and the main stage. Just a warning that if you want to sleep, don't go during the festival time because the party lasts late into the night WHICH WE LOVED!!!! WE were there for the festival so we expected it to be a lively atmosphere. The room was immaculately clean and comfortable. The only concern I would mention is that the shower is a bit tricky. It can be difficult to get in and out, especially if you are elderly or have limited mobility. It would be best to tear out the old bath tubs and just put in a simple walk in shower with grip bars for safety. It is possible to have a nasty fall if not careful. But otherwise this place was great. 10/10 and we will be going back and staying there again."

"Very nice hotel on the lakeside that i have stayed at before around 10 years ago & it didn't disappoint to return to, very nice helpful staff throughout the hotel, lovely location, nice room, great breakfast, great kids play room with so many toys,gym & pool area good,pinsa in the restaurant was amazing, disappointed to leave & so was my 5 year old great granddaughter who said we should of stayed 10 days. Great location"

"This pretty little hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the train station and is on a corner opposite the lake. We loved our room layout (Louis Armstrong room) and breakfast was great! They even have nice umbrellas for guests to use on rainy days like this one."

"We loved our stay at Hotel Muralto and highly recommend it. The property is conveniently located near public transportation (a bus stop right out the door and train station a 5 minute walk). It's a 10 minute walk to old town Locarno, shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is well maintained, the room was spotless and all staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was fresh and delicious, the air conditioning was welcome and refreshing (we were in Switzerland during a heat wave and stayed in several hotels which didn't have A/C, resulting in some uncomfortable sleeping). Overall, Hotel Muralto was our favorite hotel during our time in Switzerland!"

"The location was fantastic, only a few minutes from the train station. Surprisingly quiet with my window directly facing the train tracks. It was very clean, quiet and well kept. Automated check in was great and I never needed to contact the staff, other than to get my Ticino Ticket emailed to me. Make sure to use the Ticino discount Ticket at almost any attraction, and all public transit in the Canton. Big news for cat lovers, there is a shy but friendly long hair tabby in the area that wonders around, always a bonus! "
