"This is no ordinary pod. It is beautifully presented with so much thought given to it's furnishing. I didn't expect to find a wine fridge or induction hob, but there they were. The towels are luxurious and the toiletries are classy. There are even pods provided for the Nespresso machine! The fridge is stocked with essentials, and even some non-essential treats. Just as importantly, I was given a proper warm welcome on arrival. I loved my stay here. PS The eggs were delicious."

Welcome to Airidh an Dobhrain - our secluded cottage by the lochside
8/10 Good
"We stayed in late June 2026 for one week. Ian was very responsive. The property is in a nice secluded position just a few miles from the ‘main’ road. You can get almost everywhere from Berneray to Eriskay in about 50mins or under, and so it is an ideal location for exploring the southern chain of island. The cottage had most of what we needed for our stay, but a few more basics in the kitchen would be nice. The bed was very comfortable and the shower in the bathroom is great. Overall, a super little property and we would certainly stay here again."
"Nice, simple, clean room in Benbecula, South Uist. The innkeeper was very welcoming and friendly. There is a nice hotel restaurant a short walk away from the Hebridian Stay. We would stay here again the next time we visit south/north Uist."
KETTLE COTTAGE - Pet friendly, cosy Hebridean Cottage on North Uist
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed in Kettle Cottage in late June 2026. The cottage is superb. Every detail has been thought about. All the furniture, bedding, linens and equipment is all very good quality. Decoration is first class with everything carefully coordinated. The place is warm and cosy with electric heating throughout plus a peat fire if you wish for it.The coastal headland location is as good as it gets.Communication with our host through the Verbo app was quickly and helpfully responded to.Excellent throughout, I wouldn't hesitate to return."
"The hosts Alex and Katie are a young couple doing a great job running this small boutique hotel! It is is older building however it is well kept up and clean. The rooms are comfortable and provide all necessary amenities. The food in the restaurant is excellent. We would definitely stay here again!"
The cottage is so attractive with its traditional thatch and whitewashed walls.
