We enjoyed our stay very much! The house was spacious, plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The amenities were plentiful. The game room was loaded with many options to keep everyone entertained, not to mention the media room was great.. the chairs so comfy. The décor and furniture were high end, we felt like we stayed in a 5 star hotel. Can't wait to come back in the summer to try the pool and outdoor games. Thanks for a great Holiday weekend.
Had a wonderful pre-Christmas stay with my family. We loved the hot tub, which was relatively protected from the elements with its location, The theatre room was awesome for watching movies and football. The kitchen was well stocked (really appreciate the welcome basket and keying k-cups), and there was plenty of room for us and our dogs to spread out and enjoy, if you are considering renting a house in the Hocking Hills region, do yourself a favor and rent this one!
Hocking Hills Retreat was not well-maintained and had major ongoing issues that were not disclosed or fixed. There were broken/missing features that we took photos of to send to the host, Logan, and Logan West Properties Management including the broken patio door. The water stopped while showering the first night there. After repeated calls to Logan and VRBO, we had a few calls back from VRBO. The water department referred us for help to the sheriff as it was well water. The sheriff checked and found that there were zero problems in the area and questioned the sewage smells, checking with a flashlight under the septic system cover. We had sewage odors all week. Logan texted that a plumber would arrive on Monday. We asked if we could be informed if the loss of water pressure could be repaired. They agreed to see what the plumber diagnosed. No one ever communicated with us or updated us about the water pressure problem results from the plumber. The hot tub was unusable and dirty. After Logan had it cleaned, we asked for the pool to be cleaned as it was cloudy. Pool technician did not show-up for three days so pool was unusable. Septic system smell continued, worsening all week. Patio cushions were dirty and worn, landscaping beds were overgrown with weeds and poison ivy. Texts were shared that the septic system, water supply flow, and patio door were ongoing issues. If this had been disclosed, we would not have rented. The septic system and pool posed potential health issues.
