Property offers game room, outdoor hot tub, fire pit, and hiking trails. State Parks, lakes, canoe & kayaking, ziplining and so much more all located within a short distance from the property.

    Relax, stargaze, or spend some quality time out by the campfire with family and friends. 10 minutes down the road, guests will find Lake Logan which offers an abundance of relaxation by the water. Take a 20 minute drive from your cabin to visit Old Man’s Cave, Cedar Falls, Ash Cave, Rock House, Conkle’s Hollow, or Rock Bridge located in Hocking Hills State Park. No matter the season, you and your guests won’t be disappointed when visiting all the beauty Hocking Hills offers!

    Guests can enjoy some fine dining at Lake Hope Lodge or a day of picnicking and swimming with family and friends. The Cavalier is located 6 miles from Logan and 12 miles to Nelsonville, Ohio. The State Park offers over thousands of acres to explore by hiking, off highway vehicle riding, mountain biking, or horseback riding. When in town, guests will want to visit Nelsonville’s Historic Square Arts District, Stuart’s Opera House, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, or the Nelsonville Music Festival that is held every year at Hocking College. On the opposite side of Nelsonville is Lake Hope State Park located in Zaleski State Forest.

We loved the hot tub, amenities in the kitchen and comfortable bedrooms! The one downside to the property was the gas grill. Not all of the burners worked, so grilling dinner took a long time!

The cabin was very nice and everything you could need was provided and clean, nice property and fire pit area. Not far from anything you would need, would recommend this cabin.

The cabin was nice, spacious, clean, relaxing, close to trails,lakes, restaurants, stores.

We enjoyed our stay. We went hiking on trails. Very beautiful area. Next day went fishing at lakes. Everything was close to travel to from cabin, which was convenient, stores, restaurants, trails, lakes. We just wished our stay was longer. Cabin was very nice, clean, comfortable, staff was great. They staff was quick to respond if we had any questions. I would recommend this place to my family and friends to stay.

Little getaway weekend

This is a quiet little getaway that we enjoyed very much. The cabin is well equipped in the kitchen area. Beds could be a little more comfy! Property is gorgeous. Close by to many of the main sites for hiking and not too far from town. A hairdryer at the property would be a great addition.

Wonderful Quiet Rest

Beautiful cabin, well stocked. We loved the view and the quietness. I wish there had been something in the book telling how to adjust heat. I was surprised there was no hair dryer. Otherwise, it was perfect. Can't wait to come back to the area to explore more!

A Peaceful Romantic Getaway

The cabin/house is very big and roomy, has all the necessities to relax, rest, cook, wash and dry clothes, and plenty of bathrooms (2.5). However the upper room bed sheets were not cleaned properly, had to re-wash the sheets and pillow cases. Secondly, many of the plates, glasses and cups were not cleaned properly and had food, dirt residue on them. Otherwise a very good place to have a restful getaway. I am willing to stay again in the near future!

This place was very nice. The only problem was that we had no thermostat control. It was very cold. A message left at the number listed for assistance and no call back. Other than that a nice place to stay. It was perfect distance from our hiking trails.

Great location, quiet. Must be well water because there was a distinct sulfur odor. It was undrinkable for us, but there was a water system once the property manager brought out a jug of water. It’s not that big a deal because you can bring bottled water. The beds aren’t as bad as some of the reviews say. All-in-all, we would stay here again.

The property was not completed trim undone, lower level ceiling not finished. No bath soap or kleenex had to purchase our own. Matresses were quite worn. Other than that it was nice with great views and deer in the back yard

Very clean, updated, roomy log home

The cabin is nicely done! You have the rustic feel of a cabin,but with a beautifully updated interior and lovely outdoor areas in the rear. It was so nice to sit on the rear deck and enjoy a morning cup of tea! The one recommendation that I would make would be to replace the bed in the lower level. I had read other reviews about the squeaking that it makes and they were correct. It made it quite hard to sleep but we loved our stay otherwise.

Nice property but needs a few updates

Cabin is beautiful inside, 2-1/2 bathrooms are very convenient and great sizes! Beds need better mattresses and jacuzzi has seen better days, half of the jets don’t work, no lights, very worn surface but it did the job. Location to the entrance of Hocking Hills is actually 30 minutes away. Restaurants and stores are about 15-20 minutes away. Firepit area is nice, bring your own chairs though. Woods behind property are beautiful and area is very quiet and peaceful!

We really enjoyed our time here. We had come to catch up with a family member and his wife as well as explore the local area and do some hiking. Found plenty of interesting things in the surrounding areas and the hiking was incredible. The cabin was nice and view out back peaceful. We felt a few simple upgrades would have helped make our stay even better. The upstairs couch was super worn and sagged through the middle which was a bummer as we spent a lot of our visiting hours here as it was next to the kitchen. Need to replace the spoons in the silverware drawer. We found only two. The towels were very thin and shed pretty easily which we all got a lot of laughs out of as we were picking fuzz off each other after showering. The downstairs bed frame was shaky and creaky and we ended up placing mattress on floor to get some sleep. Lastly some dish towels and washcloths would have been helpful. All that being said we still liked the cabin and our stay here. None of the items listed were dealbreakers….just some things to consider for future guests.
