    Our properties at 'The Woodlands at Hocking Hills' have been our answer to serenity, slowing down time, and intentionally engaging and enjoying each other's company. We hope it will be a space that inspires you to do the same!

    Magnolia Grove Lodge is located right next door and accommodates up to 20 guests, making it a perfect option to rent together for larger gatherings. For those seeking a smaller, cozier option, explore our sister property, The Woodlands at Hocking Hills-Notestone Cabin.

    Hocking County is a very rural county with curvy and hilly roads that require cautious driving. The roads leading to the lodge are paved two-lane highways along with 1 ½ lane gravel scenic roads that may require a 4-wheel drive during inclement weather or any significant snowfall. There are no refunds due to inclement weather.

    Part of the Woodland Lodge driveway is paved to make coming and going a little easier for guests.

I've honestly never been as pleased with a rental before. The family that manages the cabin were extremely communicative and helpful from the time we saw the post to the time we checked out. The cabin is absolutely phenomenal with anything you want to do for all ages. We rented a cabin as a preseason celebration for my son's football team and multiple kids told me it was the best night of their life. house was very clean, they had more than enough amenities. Especially for cooking. And so much space with so many different entertainment "wings" that my husband and I were still able to enjoy ourselves. I wish I would've planned better to give back and I really admire the owners for turning this into such wonderful opportunities. Could not recommend more.

Wonderful Family Cabin and Great Location

This Cabin was the perfect fit for our Family. It is located close to hiking trails and is close to town for grocery shopping, putt-putt golf, canoeing and trips for ice cream!! The Cabin is clean and has great resources to be a home away from home while on vacation.

Our family met here for the end of one college spring break to the beginnings of a high school spring break. We celebrated several birthdays also. The house was perfect for us. We liked every detail. Great kitchen and the game room was a highlight! It is close to the trails and caves and not far from stores if needed. We experienced summer and winter weather which is always a treat in Ohio! We did experience WiFi troubles but it was because of very high winds. As the grandma in this situation I secretly liked not having it! Thanks for making our stay cozy!

We had the most wonderful time at The Woodlands! I left a nice review on Google, but want to let everyone here know that this house offers a crazy amount of amenities that is sure to please a wide variety of interests. There were 6 of us and we found thus home to be spacious and comfortable, providing everything we needed for our stay. The game room was a blast and the firepit was a wonderful bonus at the end of busy days. Communication with the owners was easy peasy and always pleasant. I would recommend this home for a short-term or a long-term stay;)

This was a family vacation for 10 of us and it was incredible! The house was a dream, with everything exactly as described. We were able to take advantage of some of the local attractions while still having plenty of time to enjoy playing games in the game room, soak in the hot tub, play board games and just sit around and visit. Our kids (age 7 through 15) were never bored and adults had plenty of talk time, too. It was a great stay! Thank you!

Great place for outdoor fun

Loved the area for hiking. Great place for the 13 of us to gather as a family and enjoy games and outdoors. The home was spacious to be together and yet great places to get away and read. We cooked our meals at the house and had everything we needed. The driveway was rough but the owners informed us of it. Owners very prompt responding and great to work with!

Great Experience!

We decided to shake up our Christmas Family Getaway and go to the Hocking Hills. We chose the Woodlands Lodge and it was a great experience! Plenty of room for all of us (18 total with them coming and going, no more than 13 at a time). Beautiful, quiet, many places inside and outside to spread out and enjoy. Nice to also get out and take a walk. The host is exceptional! Took care of us! A group of 17 ladies from church gathered in for a great long weekend! We had beautiful weather to enjoy a fire out front in the evening and the back deck for morning devotion. Ladies enjoyed the hot tub. Nice open space, game room, equipped kitchen to cook full meals. Beds are very comfy.

perfect spot for friends and family gathering!

We had friends and family gathering from California and Ohio to celebrate my daughter's upcoming wedding. The Woodlands Lodge provided spacious accommodations for our group. We took advantage of all the home offered.... game room, hot tub, 2 firepits. We enjoyed several beautiful sunsets as the side yard overlooks a valley and hillside. The Hocking Hills/Logan area has much to offer. We enjoyed an afternoon of paintball and one of canoeing. We would all highly recommend The Woodlands Lodge..... the hosts support many community organizations through their rental property which we all thought was an amazing bonus to the weekend!

Family Gathering

Fabulous property for a variety of ages to gather and be able to enjoy! The teens and young adults loved the game room and hottub! We travel often together and this has been one of our favorite homes! The special touches like the Christmas Tree and decorations, loads of fresh towels rolled in baskets for the bathrooms and near the hottub, the extra blankets for the theater room, the well equipped kitchen made our stay seamless and fun. The overall layout of the house is nice for all ages as there were many areas to have some space to spread out but the dining/great room was fun to play board games and cook/eat together! It is on 14 acres so you have privacy but only a few minutes to grocery, coffee shop and 10 min to Old Man’s Cave for hiking. We also enjoyed the fire pits! We hope to be back!

Celebrating daughter’s 21st birthday

Place is beautiful. Sits on top of a ridge and private. Very spacious and clean inside. Big bathrooms and lots of space to gather inside and do different things. A theater room to watch movies at one wing of the cabin, on the other end a game room with 2 tvs shuffleboard, air hockey, ping pong table etc that you can be loud and can’t hear in other areas. Very accommodating kitchen and lots of comfy beds. Everyone was so impressed how gorgeous the home was and also enjoyed the hot tub after hiking. Had 2 outside fire pit areas. It was so spacious that even my 4 month old granddaughter slept very well. Which they had a pack n play there for us to use. They thought of everything to make your stay fabulous. Love the give back charity organizations they have set up. Great place to have a large family gather and have lots of fun!

This was the most comfortable VRBO I’ve ever stayed in! Our group loved every part of the house! The house was so clean, updated, it had space for everyone and we all LOVED the game room! The host was easy to get in touch with, and she helped us with everything including finding someone to fix our car while we were there :-) hopefully we will be back!
