Good, budget b&b in the centre of the city
Good location, a short walk to the walls and the centre. A good alternative to bland large hotels. Very good value. Pat, the owner was very helpful and offered a very good breakfast. The rooms were clean although not very big. Don't expect a big hotel chain standard and you won't be disappointed. We enjoyed our stay.

Nice little break away with amazing hospitality
Initially we were dismissive because of the area (although we were extremely tired and just drove for 10 hours from South East England all the way to Ireland!) However the owner was very welcoming extremely friendly and the room was just what we wanted. The owner went the extra mile and even took us to town in his car and then cooked breakfast for a time that suited us. There was an incident in the area and the owner come back to the bandb to make sure we were OK (he left us to it most of the time and was not intrusive at all)

Accommodations not as expected.
We reserved a room with a "private bath." When we arrived the bedroom was extremely small and crowded and the "private bath" was down the hall and open to the rest of the house. This was an unacceptable arrangement for us and not what we expected. We immediately made alternate arrangements and notified the owner within 30 minutes of our reservation time. According to the owner's refund policy, a cancellation that late will be charged a one night stay. We paid for 3. I requested a refund of the other two nights three weeks ago from the owner and haven't heard anything from him. No reply, no refund. I would not recommend this property.

Arrived early and rang Pat disturbing his lunch but he still came and checked us in...he gave us a choice of rooms and the rundown of the local area. Breakfast was amazing in the morning....thoroughly recommended

Guy who Runs the place was on vacation ? So it took us 45 minutes to get checked in. The building & rooms are pretty run down & in need of a complete overhaul 😢 Good location for walled city etc. On the plus side the breakfast in the morning was GREAT & the lady (Pat's sister) was a wealthy of info. We would have missed a lot if she hadn't helped.

Terrific B&B experience!
I loved this B&B -- the location was an easy walk to the city center and city wall/attractions. I found street parking relatively close to the B&B. Check-in was pleasant and quick. The full Irish breakfast was delicious. I believe the heater automatically turns on during the night...I wasn't sure how to do that myself, and it was a bit chilly overnight but warm in the room when I woke up. That was the only negative thing about the whole experience, and it was a small thing at that. Wifi worked well. I would entirely recommend this B&B! Thanks.

Very nice B and B close to the town
Pat the owner is very friendly and helpful, as a local man he is a good historian of the town. He cooked us a lovely breakfast. The room was fine. Just a few minutes walk and you are at the Wall. Parking right outside on the road.

Avoid as no one is there and no reception
I booked this at last minute. The person I booked it for was very unwell. I called up and no one was there so we went. I later called and they said they would be there in around 10 minutes. The person I booked for was unwell and not able to stand about or walk long distances to get to this bed and breakfast. I tried to get a refund and they just refused. Better to leave this one alone.

Highly recommended little jewel
This is a little jewel of a find will always be our first choice. Breakfast was lovely rooms lovely and clean and beds so comfy. Patrick the owner is a lovely man had so we great funny stories to tell and very knowledgeable about the area. Can't rate this highly enough.

A warm welcome in a convenient location. The room had everything I needed with a bathroom outside for me to only use. A lovely breakfast was also made the next morning.

Lovely little bed and breakfast. Very clean and welcoming. Guy who runs it is very helpful and friendly. I also loved the fact I got parked outside it. Had a lovely cooked breakfast the next morning. Very reasonably priced bed and breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

Pat was a fabulous host, made an amazing Irish breakfast for us and was welcoming upon arrival. The downside was the wifi never did work on any of our 3 devices, the room is small and our ensuite was a bit odd as it was outside the room and down the hall and up and down a few steps, which was not convenient for night trips to the loo. Value was good though.

Value for money homely accommodation with a great host. Phoenix is close to the city walls and well positioned for exploring the fascinating city of Derry. Pat offers a warm welcome, and an excellent Irish breakfast.

We were welcomed by the owner Pat who was very helpful. He suggested a place to eat about a 10 minute walk away and even offered to drive us there! He also gave us several tour ideas and the top one he suggested was great! Overall this was a great stop on our travel in Ireland.
