"This lake house was amazing! It was private, quiet & relaxing. We took our family of 11 to the lake for 9 days. The views were even better than the photos. The beds were very comfortable and everyone enjoyed all of the lake toys that are available to the renters. Shannon was great to work with and was very helpful. We hope to come back next summer. "When we pulled up to Shady Rest we thought, "okay.." But when we got inside, we were blown away, because for the price of a hotel room we had an entire house! John, the owner, greeted us and we got to know each other a little bit He was friendly and made sure we lacked nothing. John even offered us plums and/or apples from his fruit trees. I cannot say enough great things about tis property. We looked forward to having coffee on our back deck in the morning. We actually had a four-day event in Plains, MT; the drive back and forth wasn't bad at all. I highly recommend that if you are within 30 or 45 minutes of the Shady Rest, you book it. It's so much nicer than a hotel. You literally have all of the conveniences of home in a picturesque setting - a great shower, comfy bed, full kitchen, and a living room to relax and put your feet up. I highly recommend Shady Rest! You will not be disappointed."
