"Overall, we had a great stay at Hotel Isabel. The location is excellent—just a short walk to the beach—which made it very convenient. The staff were all friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, which really added to the experience. One downside was the pool, which was quite cold during our stay. It would have been even better if it were heated. Also, the hotel doesn’t provide its own beachfront sunbeds, so you have to rent them separately for €7 per person. That said, the price is reasonable since you can use them for the entire day. We really appreciated being able to leave our luggage at the hotel after checkout, as our flight back to London wasn’t until 10pm. That extra flexibility made our departure day much easier. Overall, we would recommend Hotel Isabel to anyone staying in Torremolinos—great value for money and a pleasant experience. PS - IT'S RIGHT NEXT TO A MERCADONA WHICH IS SOOOOO CONVENIENT!!!"

"Our experience was ok, a little bit confused about my charge because I paid for a room for two people and this room had two beds and I ended up paying € 20 more for the extra bed that I was in the room. The owner didn’t mention when I booked the room. Other than that this Riad was so cute decorated and also very close to the shops areas."

"When we arrived (after 3pm) our room was not ready so they offered us a different room to the one that was already allocated. We went to the room, the balcony was overlooking a big buzzing industrial machine, as we were booked in for 13 nights we did not want this room as the buzzing noise was too much. We asked at the desk if we could have another room, one that had a double bed rather than single beds (which we'd already requested, by email, a couple of weeks before we arrived) the man at reception said they only has a couple of rooms on each floor with a double bed, he looked on his screen and said we could have a room with a double as he'd found one but it would cost us €130 extra, we asked why, he said it was because we hadn't requested that or a balcony, I showed him my reservation confirmation (that was made 8 months earlier) which confirmed my choice. He said we could have the room but he would drop the extra cost to €65 we had no option but to pay! The room that we had was on the 10th floor, the railing was wobbly which was due to a missing bolt, if anyone had leant hard onto the railing it would have broken away. We told the desk, the staff member didn't seemed bothered so we told another staff member in the morning. The railing was fixed when we were out for the day. There was no apology about the fact that they'd put us in a dangerous room that had cost us an extra €65."

"Really helpful and friendly staff. No gym - boo. The restaurant: simply the best food you will EVER have at a hotel of this level, and better than you will get at most 4+ star hotels too. Beef pizza, gyoza, club sandwich, goats cheese salad, draught beer. Just excellent. Very handy for the airport, bit of a drive into town. Rooms as expected for this level: everything worked, it was all clean. Highly recommend."

"Loved the hotel. Spotlessly clean, best shower ever and friendly staff. Only downfall was that rooms didn't have a kettle. This hotel should be a 4 star hotel. Will be back. "

"I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience has been extremely disappointing. I originally booked Sol Málaga Guadalmar around six months in advance, specifically to secure a good-quality hotel at a reasonable price. However, just one month before my trip, I was informed that the hotel could not honour my booking and I was moved to Sol Príncipe instead. Unfortunately, the alternative provided is nowhere near a like-for-like replacement. The room I was given is of a much lower standard and feels more like a budget option than what I originally paid for. It’s frustrating because I booked early to avoid exactly this situation. What makes matters worse is that I paid a higher price based on my original booking, yet I have not received any partial refund or price adjustment despite being placed in clearly inferior accommodation. This is completely unacceptable. The condition of the room was poor, and the children’s sofa bed in particular was unacceptable — uncomfortable and clearly not suitable for proper use. Overall, the accommodation does not reflect the quality or value I expected. This feels like a clear case of being mis-sold. If a hotel cannot honour a booking, the replacement should be of equal or better standard — not significantly worse, especially without any refund. Very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend based on how this situation was handled."
