HOUSE RULES:
It is our mission to ensure that our valued guests enjoy their stay with us! This is a permitted vacation rental with the City of LA Home Sharing Dept. We also have an equally as important commitment to our neighbors and our community. Below are the house rules that we must enforce. Please read them as well as all your guests prior to confirming your reservation.
This is a short-term rental property only. No Tenants rights apply. You must check-out on the date your contract finishes.
* Minimum age to book is 30 years old. Valid photo ID will be required, as well as names and ages of all your Guests.
* Check-in is after 4 PM. Self check in w unique door codes
* Check out is at 11 AM
MAX NUMBER OF OCCUPANTS - 8 (includes infants)
The Property is to be occupied by no more than the maximum sleep number stated on reservation unless approved in writing by Management. If Guest exceeds the occupancy limit and falsifies occupancy information at the time of reservation, Guest shall be subject to eviction. "Occupants" includes small children, infants and any and all visitors. If more than the maximum number is found to be occupying the Property at any time, you agree that a charge of $200 per person/per day will be made to your credit card. Additionally, this Agreement may be immediately terminated without a refund of any amounts paid. No Exceptions.
NO SMOKING Smoking is allowed outside only. If any trace of smoke is found inside the home, there will be a strictly enforced $500 fine and the cost to eliminate residual odors.
NO Unapproved Pets. All dogs must be preapproved. We must know the age/breed/lbs of your dog. PET FEE $175. 1 Dog Only. No Cats. You must bring your own dog bed or dog crate. Dogs are not allowed on furniture or beds.
NO PARTIES OR EVENTS - due to the City of LA's strict ban of parties of large groups we need exact headcounts of your guests at all times. All outside visitors must be pre-approved.
A party is defined as any combination of the following; ANY loud noise and/or excessive drinking that is disruptive to neighboring houses and/or guests outnumbering the maximum amount permitted as defined above. A party will result in an immediate eviction from the property with no refund given under any circumstance. Any exceptions to this policy must be approved by iTrip in writing prior to the arrival date.
NEIGHBOR COMPLAINTS
Actions by guests that result in neighbor complaints or police being called to the Property will result in a minimum $1000 charge, which charge will be used to deal with legal issues and fines.
NOISE ORDINANCE - QUIET HOURS: 10 pm – 8 am. No Outdoor Music or Loud Voices during this time.
* You will provide valid photo IDs of all Adult guests
* In the event of an emergency to perform necessary repairs and/or maintenance, we reserve the right to enter the property.

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
All trash and recyclables must be removed from ALL the rooms and ALL outdoor spaces. All trash should be placed in their proper bins. Trash bins are by the garage or inside the garage.
All TV’s, lights, appliances and thermostat turned off.
Close garage door and return garage remote in silver tray in the Foyer table. (There will be a $75 fee if remote not returned)
All windows and French doors should be shut and locked.
Lock Front Door and shut stairway gate.
Kindly inform us if you're checking out early to have our Cleaners start as soon as possible.

This is a beautiful house in the Hollywood Hills and our family enjoyed our stay. From the beautiful grounds, the well appointed kitchen with Viking appliances, to the spacious home, we were very pleased with our stay. Very clean and safe area. Lily and her team were excellent in communication and responding to a minor maintenance issue with the garage door.
Great house in a good location for accessing all parts of the city.
The house is clean, spacious and comfortable. It also has a well equipped kitchen and laundry. Very comfortable stay and would definitely rent again.

Awesome, gorgeous, awesome!
This couldn't be a more exquisite place to stay! We are displaced because of the Eaton Fire and Lilly was so kind and thoughtful with us as we figured out how Casa Escalera could happen for us. The flowers, the plants, the back yard, the walks around the neighborhood and each of the rooms themselves are just gorgeous. Can't recommend this beautiful home and iTrip enough!
We stayed with our family of 5 for 5 days. This piece of property is so beautiful, clean, tranquil and in a perfect location for sight-seeing around LA and surrounding areas. This wonderful home has everything you may need and more! We loved drinking our morning coffee on one of the many outdoor patios. I would highly recommend staying here!
We had a very nice stay, the house itself was beautiful and we had a lot of space to relax among really unique architecture. If you’re not used to driving on steep hills and narrow roads that really shouldn’t be 2-way, you might have some trouble here :) It was definitely beneficial to have a garage! But other than that, it was close enough to everything and we felt very safe staying here.

Secluded Casa Near it All!
Casa escalera exceeded our expectations. The home is beautifully decorated w art and unique furnishings. Beds were super comfy. We took full use of the chef's kitchen and enjoyed the multiple sitting areas both inside and out. The home feels secluded and far away from it all, but 7 minutes from hollywood- los filez- griffith, and a nice challenging walk to beachwood eatery. Itrip's communication is 5☆ as well as their accomodating service. Tyty. We hope to return!
The property is a beautifully remodeled 1920’s bohemian oasis in the Hollywood Hills, close to Capitol records, Hollywood Bowl and Universal Studios. My family and I spent a long weekend here. Each of us had privacy and rest as the bedrooms are spread out with their own bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped. We were able to relax and enjoy our time together and also get to local attractions in reasonable time. The property manager is very responsive and lovely. We would stay again and explore in the future.
Such a beautiful and comfortable home. Spotlessly clean inside, with expertly maintained gardens outside. Just gorgeous! As mentioned by other reviewers (thank you!), there are a lot of stairs both inside and outside, but it was so worth it. I personally preferred having lots of steps to get to the front door rather than having to navigate a steep driveway. Yes the streets in the neighborhood narrow and winding, but again so worth it to stay in this unique house.
Eclectic 1920s Hollywood house. Beautiful gardens and sitting areas. Very good kitchen. Two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, the third is a bit of a hike up some stairs to a powder room/Bath. The host (Danny) was great.
The house does have some persistent musty smells. Completely bizarre neighborhood with beautiful homes next to shacks. Thirty-five steps from the parking area to the front door....not for those with knee issues. we really enjoyed it.
We really loved our stay at this home. The house itself is obviously an older home, but it has been very thoughtfully updated. They kept the original charm of the home, but have added a sound system throughout the house, updated lighting, remodeled bathrooms and a beautifully updated kitchen with high-end appliances. This home also has pretty much all items that you could need--it's very well stocked. Also, they are very responsive to questions. I had a couple of questions about where to find things and how to do things and they responded very quickly with solutions and answers. The home is located in an ideal neighborhood. It's very private and the surrounding homes are beautifully maintained. We felt very safe. Also, this is located close to Dodgers stadium, great restaurants, museums, and shopping. It's really ideal. And, did I mention the amazing landscaping? I felt like I should be sitting outside whenever I could at this beautiful home. The landscaping and multiple patios are exceptional. My family plans to stay at this home agian in the future.

Hollywood Hills Mediterranean Home
Our first impression upon arrival was the beautiful landscaped garden surrounding the home in addition to the elevation from street level. When first entering the home we were taken back by how stale the home smelled. However, the home was very charming with its Victorian-styled furnishings throughout. The home was nicely appointed with all the essentials you would need. The beds were comfortable, however additional blankets and sheets could have been provided. The pillows were worn and flat, plush pillows would have made our sleeping experience better. There were bath towels provided, but there were no extra towels provided. The unexpected perk of having surround sound was quite enjoyable to be able to play music throughout the home. The home was quiet, comfortable, charming and our family enjoyed our stay.

A week at Casa Escalera
Casa Escalera served as home base for our family for a week's worth of exploring LA's sights, attractions and beauty. Due to LA's traffic, location was a key care about for our stay and Casa Escalera was perfect for that. It was a short trip to the Hollywood sign, Griffith park and observatory, the Greek, Hollywood bowl, Hollywood blvd and Chinese Theater, Universal studios, Warner Brothers Studios, Paramount Studios, The Grove. The house itself is nestled in the Hollywood Hills in the same canyon as the Hollywood Sign. Houses in the neighborhood can be packed rather tightly together, but the extensive landscaping at the house provided isolation and a feeling of an exotic getaway. The kitchen appliances were top notch and the house was very well stocked with utensils, cookware, spices in the kitchen and toiletries in the bathrooms. They even had beach towels, a cooler and umbrella for a day at the beach. Our family really enjoyed our stay at the house and we would not hesitate to reserve it again or recommend it to others.
The house was amazing and location was perfect for everything we wanted to explore. We enjoyed the huge kitchen and the awesome backyard. Would highly recommend.
It is easy to rate this stay 5 stars and we would return in a heartbeat. We felt like we were staying at a friends luxury home rather than a rental property. The home was unique, fun, had everything we needed, and was in a great location.

This house is incredible! It looks like something out of old Hollywood and it has been updated beautifully. The beds are comfy, the kitchen is first class and all the places to sit and relax are gorgeous. What a place!
We absolutely LOVED our stay at Casa Escalera! Everything was perfect! This charming property added so much to our trip. We look forward to staying here again in the future.
The property was gorgeous, amazing lanscaping with lots of outdoor seating. Amazing kitchen with grill/griddle/number of burners and a huge refrigerator. Property was very clean with ample kitchen and bathroom supplies.
We had a lovely stay in this home -- it's in a great spot for exploring LA , it's very comfortable, it has truly lovely patios and landscaping, and the management team are wonderful.
When I picture California, I picture a house like this. This gave me everything I was looking for and then some. My daughter and I absolutely loved our stay here. The kitchen is spectacular, too bad we didn’t take the time to utilize it! Would stay here again without hesitation.
