Great host, great place, great location

So much to do in that neighborhood! There’s a friendly neighborhood bar right across the street from the house with great cocktails. And a few blocks down there’s so many restaurants and bars to choose from! James was super easy to communicate with and was very accessible if we ever needed anything. And the home was very clean, the second story living space made for a great hangout during our downtime. Would definitely stay here again next time we come to town.

First time trail blazers

Booked the Barrett House based on location and comments from previous guests. The accommodations were perfect for 3 couples or 6 friends as long as you don’t mind walking past one of the beds to get to the bathroom downstairs. Very Clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. It would be helpful to get a few new toasters and a few frying pans, but otherwise well equipped! I would highly recommend the Barrett House.

Great house in Louisville!

We had a great stay and loved the house! James was easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed. The house was clean and kitchen was stocked with snacks, coffee, and water bottles.We were a bit surprised to find that one of the bedrooms is just a queen bed in the down stairs common area (the house is split into 2 separate identical units). Luckily this wasn’t a big issue for our group, but the couple in that “bedroom” didn’t have much privacy. We enjoyed walking to the bars and restaurants nearby even in the cold weather!

Could Not Stay due to extreme weather - but host was excellent!

I am not able to fully rate the property, since we were unable to stay here due to the significant snowfall in Louisville. Despite that, I did want to pass along praise for the host, James! He was a great communicator throughout and incredibly helpful in every way! 5 stars for James and I hope to return and stay at this property and explore Louisville (without snow!!) in the future!

A Great Fit

Really enjoyed our stay. The house is well suited for multiple families. We were in town with some friends for a baseball tournament. Friends took the lower level unit and we took the upper unit. Living room and dining room in upper unit were both big enough for all of us to visit together. Then, at the end of the evening, we had our own space. Communication with the host was excellent. We were a bit concerned about potential noise from the bar across the street but it was not an issue at all (at least on a M/Tu/Wed night) - a very friendly place as well. Breakfast at the nearby BBB was excellent. Street noise in the evening was not an issue. If you are light sleeper and trying to sleep late it could be a challenge. We really enjoyed our stay, the neighborhood was great, parking was easy, etc. Would definitely stay here again.

Our family gathered in Louisville for an early Thanksgiving. Very clean and spacious two-level property. Two queen beds on first floor ( four steps required to enter property). King bed and spacious living room upstairs. Two big total bathrooms with laundry. Convenient parking spot for one car on property which is helpful due to busy road. Would definitely stay again. Love the neighborhood.
