Victorian home 1st floor of duplex in the heart of the Highlands/Germantown has modern amenities and comfort mixed with vintage style. We are ready to host short term, mid-term, and long term rental guests. Digital nomads, nurses and healthcare professionals welcome!
This well equipped 1st floor apartment features 1200 sq ft, large (Sleeps 4), eat in kitchen, 2 full baths, 1 large master bedroom with full closet, a living room with a queen size sofa bed (2nd bed) and armoire. TO BE CLEAR: OF NOTE: The 2nd bedroom is the front area of the apartment which includes -1 queen sofa bed in the living room, armoire(sheets and pillows inside), full bathroom with step in shower. This area can be separated by a door acting as 2nd private bedroom if needed and each bedroom area has a private exterior door to get in and out.
High speed internet, 2 smart TVs. Washer and dryer on 1st floor. Premium mattress, bedding, linens, and towels.
Louisville is home to the Kentucky Derby, Forecastle Festival, and don’t forget about the Bourbon Distillery tours! We are the Napa Valley of Bourbon!!!
Because of our close proximity to Louisville’s vibrant nightlife, the eclectic dining scene & shopping it’s no wonder visitors flock here to get a taste of something amazing! Walk to the hottest music venue- Old Forester Paristown Hall.
Quick cab ride or car sharing service to and from the Airport ( 5.9 miles), to Churchill Downs (4.8 miles), KY Expo Center (4.7 miles), KY International Convention Center (2.4 miles), KFC Yum Center (2.5 miles), University of Louisville (3 miles) and to Downtown Louisville (2 miles).

Great Location

In town to attend our nephews' graduation. The location was close to downtown. Ubered everywhere. We had a quick turnaround, but have this place earmarked for my next visit to Louisville.

Short visit in Louisville for Eclipse

We had a great stay at this property. The location was great. We could easily walk to a lot of neat restaurants and shops. The procedures for check in and check out were easy. Having the off street parking spot in the rear of the property was very convenient. We would stay here again if we are in the area for another visit.

This is such a roomy, comfy apartment. Close to everything and very walkable. Also surprisingly quiet for being so close to things. The code to the lockbox was incorrect in the VRBO platform so we got stuck in the cold for a little bit, but the agent was quick to return my call with the correct code.

Great house for couple in quiet but vibrant neighborhood

Great property, convenient to downtown and nightlife a block away. Worked well for my husband and i. But it could easily work for two couples or a family of four with the pull-out sofa in living room. Nice to have two full bathrooms. Beautiful backyard. Comfortable beds. Kitchen was well equipped.

Louisville Germantown

Wow! Location is excellent, close to many restaurants and downtown. Great little "Cheers" bar just down the street, and a wonderful bakery just a block away! Karen and Ken are super landlords and live next door. They are a wealth of knowledge about the area. We were having a problem connecting one of the TV's they came over immediately and got it fixed. We would definitely stay there again. this was our 8th year spending a month at an VRBO and this was the best!!!

Girl’s Weekend

My cousin and I met in Louisville as a half way point. We came to celebrate a clean bill of health after her chemo treatments!! God is so good!! The VRBO was darling. She and I both loved the style and decor. It was well appointed though we were only there one night so we didn’t get to take advantage of all of the amenities. Check in was very simple. We had a wonderful stay. Highly recommend this rental.

7 Day Birthday Staycation

I can say without a doubt that I would definitely book this property again, as short-lived as it may have felt, i thoroughly enjoyed my stay. From the beautiful and homely interior to the ideal location for finding interesting things to do, it was perfect. As a native from louisville kentucky, I can say this property is ideal for anyone looking to explore and experience louisville seeing as there are many great places to go with some of them close by and most being not too far out. Personally I enjoyed most of my stay within the property cooking and relaxing. Although I did have a number of reservations made prior and a list of places I planned to visit, which made the location of this property all the more perfect seeing as all of which were within a 10-15 minute range. All in all I will definitely be recommending this place to family and acquaintances.

Post Christmas Getaway

My family and I enjoyed two nights at this property. We walked down to the outdoor ice skating rink and visited many of the vintage/thrift shops that were within walking distance. We drove to Lights under Louisville and were impressed by the beautiful display of Christmas lights. One minor critique of the area is that some people may feel a bit unsafe in the seedier parts of the neighborhood that were littered with trash, clothes, and abandoned buildings, especially if they are not used to or familiar with the area.The area seemed to be in a transition between what used to be and what is to come. Everyone that we interacted with was kind and helpful and the property that we stayed in was clean and matched the description.

We went for the State Fair which was disappointing. However are stay was wonderful. The house was in a great location. Close to most everything else we did while there. Nice qiute neighborhood, clean comfortable house. We will be back to due a bourbon trail and this will be the place we book. Karen was easy to communicate with and very responsive.
