"The apartment is within steps (literally) of the town market, the Elevator to the university, and the main pedestrian plaza. It faces a pedestrian alley and is quiet at night. "Hemos estado muy a gusto en una casa muy agradable y con unos dueños amabilísimos. La zona es muy bonita. Al principio hubo algo de descoordinación con la empresa local que gestionaba la casa, pero una vez allí, todo perfecto. "To begin, Finding the key box was very difficult because the box is concealed behind a bush ( a local resident had to guide us)-never try this in the dark as it would be impossible to find it, many yards from the building where the unit is located. Then, once one makes it to the 8 th floor of building “ C” ( buildings are not clearly marked by the way) the key does not open the door. It’s unfortunately that simple: an impossible task for a paid guest to use the premises advertised & paid for....

"What an amazing property! Outdoor space with pool, BBQ, dining table and sun loungers was used frequently. All bedrooms were a good size. View from the upper terrace was breathtaking. The walk to Luz beach gave us our daily exercise. Be prepared to purchase all paper products(toilet paper, paper towel, facial tissues) and meal preparation necessities ( even salt and pepper) No welcome package like the many places we have stayed at so we needed to hustle out to get provisions for our morning...

"Property is as advertised and really fully equipped. This was the 8th apartment we rented during our tour of Spain/Portugal and the best equipped. It is also extremely well located for a ''walking visit'' of the university grounds as well as old Coimbra. Parking is available but a 10 min. walk up/down from the ''market parking''. "The house is a beautifully redone schist structure in the center of Talasnal. All the comforts of home; nicely stocked kitchen, great fireplace (heated the whole house), comfortable beds, and nice hot showers. Great hikes just walking out the front door…although we did get lost the first day. Haha. Both Joao and Alda were super responsive and so helpful. Even offering to pick us up in Candal after our very long misplaced hike. Definitely purchase any supplies before arriving as the tiny Mercado...
