"After reading the reviews for this place, I knew it would have a nice view… but WOW, no photo can truly capture how incredible the view is! The Zugspitze is literally towering right in front of the big living room windows and greets you every morning with the sun shining on its rocky face! My baby learned to say “Mountain” from this view, while we were there! The apartment is big and roomy, the kitchen is fairly well equipped. The bedrooms do leave a gap that would really bring this place to an outstanding place to stay. You can tell the host has never stayed in this apartment before since simple items are missing that really make a stay more comfortable. No bedside tables, which means nowhere for your glasses to set without fear of stepping on them. There’s plenty of room, it would be such an easy item to add. Or a place to charge a phone or watch. No towel hooks by the shower door, so water drips all across the tile floor making it slippery. Towels were pretty ratty and worn (but clean). The privacy shade doesn’t work in the bathroom window. The motion sensor hallway lights- good in theory until it’s the middle of the night and they turn on full bright when you get up to use the restroom. Again, none of these would deter me from staying here again, but I hope these simple fixes can be done because the apartment deserves them!The location is great. Ludwigstraße is cute!"

"The staff were so helpful and friendly. We had one of the balcony rooms with an amazing view. The room was clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed dinner and entertainment on two separate evenings. The food was excellent and we met so many interesting local and non local people. We can't say enough good things about our stay in this beautiful storybook town and specifically this wonderful historic hotel!"

"Really beautiful hotel run by a very nice family. The location is about a 10 min walk from the old town Partenkirchen and a close drive to the train station to get up to Zugispitze. Breakfast at the hotel was great and we had dinner almost every night at restaurant. Our balcony was a wrap around one that had a beautiful view. The people we were traveling with had a smaller/less ideal balcony so I would clarify when booking what you’re getting. Also unfortunately unavoidable in the mountains but there was a lot of bugs so we couldn’t keep the windows open or they kept coming in! Otherwise a great stay"

"The hotel looked a little dated but the staff was helpful and the breakfast buffet was good. It included sausages, scrambled eggs, cold cuts, bread, and sliced fresh fruit. I was hoping for hot chocolate but The machine didn't have it. There was a good selection of tea, though. The water for the shower was hot and soap and shampoo were available in the room."
