Great family vacation

Great family vacation hotel. Great pool, friendly staff and nice connected, spacious rooms. Breakfast was great and diverse and location is perfect for walking to the city centre. All in all great!

Great hitel

Coincidentally had stayed here before several years ago but didn’t realise till arrived, and room was great, location perfect, ate in the restaurant which has great and handy and luckily we had prebooked as it was busy. Would recommend and stay here again

Good location to the old town. Was only about a 5 minute walk. The hotel itself was nothing spectacular but it was quiet. Our balcony was really sticky when we checked in but rinsed it with water and it was fine. A really good feature is the filtered water station, both still and bubbled, that was available for free. Free onsite parking was very limited but they also have paid underground parking onsite

Very dog friendly but terrible ‘spa’

Overall a good hotel. Nice location. Good size rooms. ++ very dog friendly and my dog was very welcome everywhere - - the spa was not a spa but more like a pool in a charter hotel in Crete. It was terrible with kids all over and no room for other guest - - no compensation for not being able to use the spa - - the breakfast was okay but often empty

Conveniently located just outside Lübeck's north city portal, Burgtor. It's just a few minutes walk into the altstadt with churches, squares, passageways, courtyards, and a variety of beautiful gabled buildings. Loved the breakfast at the hotel and the rainwater shower head. There are a limited number of free outdoor parking spaces which I luckily obtained. Lübeck is wonderful.

We loved our stay at Holiday Inn. Reception was kind and helpful and efficient. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast had a lot of different options, which was nice since we were there five days. Everything was delicious. We paid for parking. It was expensive, but we were here during the festival and we didn’t want to fight for parking-so we thought it was worth it. Walking distance to the island which was were we did a lot of exploring, so a great location. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

Okay stay, but noise was an issue

Recent stay at Holiday Inn was generally okay, but there were some noticeable drawbacks that impacted the experience. On the positive side, the hotel's location was excellent, being very close to Lübeck's charming Old Town, which made exploring easy. The pool was also a great amenity for the kids, providing a fun way for them to unwind. However, the most significant issue was the sound insulation. Our specific room was also very close to the lifts, which contributed to the problem. Conversations, footsteps, and other activities from adjacent rooms and the hallway could be heard quite easily. This made it difficult to relax and get a good night's sleep. While the stay was not terrible, the noise level was a consistent problem. I would recommend this hotel for short stays or for those less sensitive to noise, but it's definitely something to be aware of.
