"This Inn was overpriced for the room we occupied. Besides being dated the bedsheets were cheap and old and covered with cotton pills.the blanket was paper thin as well. It was quite loud in the hallways and the fan in the bathroom was very loud with a high squeaking noise when on. We won’t stay again. "

"Room smelled, dirty wash cloths left in room. Carpet was thin and the carpet tacks were exposed. I had to leave a $100 deposit that will take a week to be returned to my account. Run down room, I didn't eat breakfast but the coffee was good. I will not stay there again."

"The choices are few in Caldwell, but this is a hidden gem. Looks rough on the outside, but very clean on the inside. Athough spartan, it has everything you need and kept clean. The attached restaurant is very good as well."

"Adorable little cozy cottage!My two girlfriends and I had a wonderful time at Valerie & Tom’s Cute Cottage! The location is perfect for a short getaway. Only a little over an hour from Houston (of course depending on traffic). The drive to, from and around the area is very scenic. It gives you that “small town” feeling. It’s very close to Round Top and great restaurants nearby. Don’t be fooled by the cottage’s size: it has everything you need! From towels, to hairdryer (you forgot your curlers? No worries, there’re curlers!), hangers, extra pillows, microwave, cute fridge, kitchen basics (course wine opener and glasses!!) and more. Above all, the cottage is super clean! Valerie and Tom are very nice and responsive. Best hosts!! Thank you, Valerie and Tom, for letting us stay in your little cozy cottage! We will definitely come back!Leah C (Houston)"

"We had a wonderful stay last night. The studio was exceptionally clean, very well maintained, and thoughtfully designed with great taste. Everything felt comfortable and welcoming. The host was professional, proactive, and communicated all instructions clearly and promptly, which made the entire stay smooth and stress-free. "Great place to stay and the host is so sweet with little touches, but some quirks with the entrance door vs the hallway that make getting luggage in and out awkward. Hall bathroom lighting is definitely less than ideal. Very strong cleaning product smell the first day. Overall Would stay again. "

"Nice older B&B located in a quiet neighborhood. Our room was nice & we had a good breakfast. The AC worked well which is important! Property is about 100 years old and it is showing its age. We will likely stay here again."
