"Overall a great stay! Much nicer than what I had expected. We rented a two bedroom town-house, which actually had a third room which was a "sun-room" with a sofa-bed and TV instead of having the sofa-bed in the living room. The unit was very clean, spacious and had marvelous working AC. The gym was a good size and had a lot of equipment, plus a sauna and steam room, Loved the 3 tiered swimming pool with nearby splash pad. The pool was warm and had two large shallow sections which were perfect for the grandkids, ages 2 and 4. I would recommend wearing water shoes in the this outdoor pool as the bottom surface is very rough and my grandkids cut up the bottoms of their toes. The indoor pool was also very nice (softer bottom surface), it was huge and also has a large shallow area for the kids. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Requests for extra linens, soaps and other household necessities were promptly supplied. We had enough cooking utensils and dishware to make small basic meals. In room washer and dryer a huge plus! Attended the timeshare presentation as part of a promotion and it wasn't too bad actually, very low pressure, so that was refreshing. I appreciated the front desk allowing us to extend our stay for two nights and stay in the same unit even though we booked through Expedia instead of the resort. Resort is very close to Target and Water Country/Busch Gardens. This is not a high end resort but very family friendly and a good value for the money."

"Upon arriving we were greeted so graciously by the two girls from Pennsylvania I have misplaced their names in my head everything was a bit available the chocolates the lovely cookies the coffee the wine bar the room was beautiful the beds were lovely we had a stellar time and will definitely be back thanks again Hornsby house and we sure did enjoy ourselves"
Charming 3-bedroom house with WiFi, AC in fantastic Gloucester Point

"We made reservations for this house specifically due to its location; we were in town to attend a family member’s graduation ceremony from the Coast Guard Training Camp just across the bridge. This home was perfect for our family (3 Adults, 1 Teenager, and 2 toddlers)! Kitchen is very well stocked with cooking items from cookware to utensils, even seasonings! Bathrooms are have more than enough towels to use, rooms are comfortable, living area is cozy, dining area is spacious, and the backyard was very enjoyable. The local area is beautiful and quiet; not too far from shopping/grocery stores, restaurants and Busch Gardens. Host’s communication is by far the best I have experienced so far. If ever looking for a place to stay in this area specifically, would highly and always recommend this home! If we ever return to Gloucester Point/Yorktown, we’d love to stay here again. Overall: "
Historic Yorktown Waterfront Home

"We enjoyed our stay very much. The view was amazing! It was nice to be so close the market place which was just below the condo. A nice walkway could be used to get there. It was oppressively hot during our stay so we took the car down to the free parking area. We tried three restaurants in the market area and were pleased with each one.The condo was very nice and for the most part we had what we needed. We felt there could have been a few extra towels. No hand towels or dish towels were provided. Not sure if this was just an error or not. There is a dish washer but sometimes you just need a dish towel. We lost power due to a storm and when it came back on the TV wasn’t working. I called for help and Jacob was very helpful. We would definitely enjoy another stay here."

"Perfect location for us while attending a wedding at the Yorktown Shed. The house is lovely. In the morning coffe and breakfast choices are just a short walk from the house as well as the beach and other dining options. Wonderful choice for exploring Historic Yorktown and all it has to offer."

"The home was clean, and tidy when we arrived. Had all the essentials we needed for our stay. I didn't know it came with kitchenware, laundry detergent, shampoo & conditioner, and body soap. There were 2 fishing poles set up. I was amazed. The sunsets were remarkable. Fishing was great. We did come back from an outing and heard a loud noise coming from an outside vent. I texted the hostess and she was quick to respond. Nothing to worry about. A nice neighbor came by to check. It was the attic fan cooling the attic down. There is one minor detail that maybe the owner can replace the mattress in one of the bedrooms. It sinks in the middle. Still sleepable, but a tad uncomfortable. Overall stay, I recommend this place."

"The very best VRBO we’ve ever had. Layout provided privacy, everything we needed was provided (even scotched tape and rubber bands!). Being right on the river and children running in and out let some pesky flies inside so a fly swatter would have been helpful rather than chasing them down with an improvised one of newspaper. The laundry room with oversized appliances was perfect for a week long stay for our family. The view was amazing and provided a calm to begin and end each day!"
