Overall could not ask for a better place to stay. We loved our cabin and the location on the beach was very convenient for the kids getting in and out of the water. Will definitely recommend the cabin to friends and family. Will be back next year!
Our stay was very lovely, we rented cabins #2 and #4 which were right on the beach, we enjoyed grilling in the evening. The cabins were new and clean. The host also provides many towels for the stay. Very close downtown. Also enjoyed the water park access especially when it was raining.
We loved it!! Simple and we really enjoyed the beach and how close it was!!!!❤️ the only thing I would recommend bringing is a broom!!

Mackinaw stay
The cabin was almost new and nicely clean and cute. Bathroom linens and products were well stocked but there were no sheets for the third bed. The kitchen was sparsely stocked, but enough to get by. There were no linens or paper towels. The internet was nonexistent except for next to the window in the back bedroom so communication with the host was non existent. The view of the lake was outstanding and if you walked out near the lake there was a lovely view of the mackinaw bridge. I would stay there again and recommend it to others.
Our overall impression of cabin #4 was very positive. Loved the beachfront view, decor and amenities, although privacy was less than expected being behind and next to some older properties. It wasn't made clear on the website that check-in was at the Waterfront Inn but friendly locals and a message from our host helped in the end. The view of the Mackinaw Bridge was to our left and slightly obstructed. One issue was no pocket door to the bunkroom (between living area and bedroom) making it difficult to keep it quiet enough for the kids early bedtime. The large covered deck was greatly appreciated although a broom/dustpan or footbath pan would have helped with tracking in sand.

Not bad, could use just a few upgrades
Two of my kids (12 & 16) and I stayed here for the Labor Day bridge walk. The cabin itself is pretty new, and was well cleaned. It has useful kitchen appliances, including a full size gas range, and also basic dishes/cookware. But it does not have two bedrooms, it has one bedroom with a full size bed and a bunk bed in the area leading to the bedroom. It also has a futon in the living area. The primary reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's located in front of a motel that has seen better days. This motel is apparently the owner of the cabin, it's not owned by a private owner. This fact isn't accurately described in the listing. It's not a deal breaker, though.
The beach is okay, but isn't regularly cleaned, so there were remnants left behind from previous parties, like half burned firewood, crushed beer cans and some broken glass. There's a weather beaten children's play structure with a broken plastic slide that's home to dozens of spiders and is so worn out it needs to be converted into firewood anyway.
I would stay here again. We don't spend all of our time at the cabin, we go off for day trips in the area. However, if you're planning on spending a week playing and relaxing on the beach, there are better options, especially at this price point.
Great stay for a quick trip to the city and island. Kids loved running right out into the water. Close to everything, beautiful view of the bridge. Had everything we needed included in the cabin. Kids loved the bunk beds!
This will be our "Go To" place to stay in Mackinaw. By far the best place to stay if you like privacy, convenience and the perfect location. We slept 6 with no issues. Would be amazing for a couple. We will be back.
Great vacation. Could use some more dishes in kitchen, soup bowls, coffee cups.

The cabin is cute. The kitchen was stocked ok. The cabin had clean sheets and towels however there are lots of cobwebs and the windows are filthy. There was no dish soap to was dishes and only 1 roll of toilet paper.Neither of the TVs worked. This property is very over priced.

I’ll start off by saying, the cabins are super cute, clean and exactly as photographed! They were very cozy to sleep in and had all the amenities listed. The location, however, was less than ideal; not photographed are the run down motels surrounding the cabin. We also unfortunately had an issue with maybe a local or a guest somewhere else who was clearly inebriated wandering around the cabin between 2-4am and the walls were paper thin. Lastly, it seems like there was a project that wasn’t completely which now is a safety concern - where said local/guest fell in the night which lead to screaming outside of the window. The beach/sand was not great, found broken glass and empty liquor bottles scattered around. Ultimately - cabin was good but not as quaint as i imagined from the advertising on VRBO.
Nice cabin. No bed linens for futon. Had to use bedding from bunk.

Overall a good trip
Slight overall about what's available overall (in conjunction with the local hotels)
The internet was almost non existent the entire stay the entire stay. The heater, secure to the outside of the building) was so loud, we either we freezing at night or didn't sleep well)
As advertised. The beach and location were great. Cabin was small and simple. The kitchen supplies were limited but fine for our needs. The shower was great. Likely a tankless water heater so unlimited hot water with a gold shower head. Queen bed is on the very firm end of the spectrum. The foldout was comfortable, though no sheets were provided for it. Only legitimate complaint for me, bringing this rating from a 5 to a 4, was the heat pump condensor mounted to the exterior of the cabin directly opposite the bedroom's headboard. It was fairly loud and even vibrated enough to feel it in the bedroom. The nights were cool and the heat pump ran fairly often. I ended up sleeping with ear plugs after the first night. All in all would consider staying here again for the price, considering everything in Mackinaw is outrageously expensive, this was on the affordable end, and a pretty great location, especially if you're not spending a lot of time lounging about.

Weekend getaway
Met our needs for location. Could use more kitchen supplies example strainer for noodles as this is an easy meal to prepare. The back room would not warm up with door shut and shaking and rumbling all night long from heater hooked on hitch of house. Very hard sleeping but not sure in summer if this would be the same with air. Overall could lower price for late fall as there were vacancy all over mackinaw city for next time!!
We had an amazing time in the cabin. It was much larger than we expected. There was plenty of room for our family of 4. The beds were all very firm. Staying in cabin #4 was great, as it was separated from the other cabins and had more space.
The location, right on the beach with the view of the bridge and the islands, was fantastic. It is walking distance on the beach to the Star Line ferry port.
This is not the 'most stocked' location we have stayed at. If you plan to cook, bring your own oils, spices, etc. There are plenty of pans and cookware.
We took advantage of the water park and wished we were there a bit longer to enjoy it more.

False advertising
This cabin is located on the property of a very sketchy rundown motel. Located in front on the beach is an old play set. We didn't have a BBQ grill and the wifi didn't work. No information on the indoor pool or water park. The bathroom had no hooks or towel racks. Really there is only one bedroom the 2nd "bedroom" was the hall way from the kitchen/living area to the bedroom. The cabin was overall clean, but I wouldn't recommend staying, especially at the price point.
A balcony is advertised, it’s a porch. There were no blankets for the futon or a hair dryer in the bathroom. The oven is useless because there are no baking sheets in the kitchen There is no second bedroom, it is bunk beds in the hallway outside of the bathroom from the kitchen leading to the only bedroom. And the bunk bed hallway doesn’t have a door from the kitchen. The beach is unkept and not maintained at all. They don’t have a pest control company as there are spiders everywhere, my son was bitten and had to be treated. The area is beautiful!! This is grossly overpriced and not advertised as is!
