This was an amazing place to stay near all of that is important in Madrid. We were thrilled to be staying near all of the action. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked. The only downside was that I missed in the first communication when I booked the apartment is that you need to check in at Hostal Madrid two doors down. There is no sign for these apartments, just a door number. Another important thing to note is that there was no laundry available in the building but some are nearby. Some of the guests get pretty loud, so it may not be the best place for light-sleepers but considering where you are staying, it is par for the course.

The hotel is located at the heart of the city so the Metro, Bus and taxis are very accessible. Restaurants and stores are also walkable. The elevator is not that reliable.

The staff was tremendously nice. Our flight arrived very early in the morning. The staff let us put the luggages there, so we can explore the city hands free. On the check-out day, they also did the same thing, free of charge. Thank you so much! The room was very clean and quiet. The beds are comfortable. The drainage is slow, but it is a minor problem. The location is excellent! We can walk to many attractions. I recommend this apartment.

Awesome place near Sol
Great place. We arrived early and checked in before the time. Our room wasn't ready yet (as expected), but they kept in communication and notified me when it was ready (still a few hours before the expected time). The kids loved riding in the old school elevator. The wifi was a little spotty on the terrace, but everything else was amazing.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing location. Comfy bed. Very small apartment but still two bedrooms and two bathrooms as described! Spanish TV. Safe available but you had to pay 1 euro every time you want to lock it. Very cold in the apartment - we stayed in Nov and couldn't get the heating to work. Didn't get round to asking the staff for help because we were always out. Free toiletries - shampoo, shower gel, bar or soap. Fridge and small hob - we didn't use either.

Location is great. Close to Plaza Mayor. Small rooms. Clothes washer takes up space but not hooked up. Cleaning mop, bucket etc. stashed in the bathroom giving off an odour. They don’t provide cleaning or tidying services (we stayed 3 nights).

I loved staying at Apartamentos Mayor Centro. I reserved the three bedroom was easily accommodated five people. The staff was friendly and speak both English and Spanish (we spoke in Spanish). The room we stayed in had a terrace and had a great view. I there is a washer, but not a dryer, which wasn’t a problem. There is an oven, microwave and fridge. This was helpful in order to save a bit of money because we were able to go to the Supermercado and not have to eat our all the time. This hotel is located in a great location and had access to many places. It is super busy day and night, but is worth it. I would definitely recommend if staying in Madrid. Side note, this is an older building so the elevator is very small. I took the stairs a lot because it was difficult fitting everyone inside, especially with luggage, so we would have to wait turns or take the stairs.

This property is very close to Puerta del Sol where all the restaurants, fun and entertainment, and shopping is located. It is also a 5 minute walk to the Gran Via hub The apartment we had was big with 2 sleeping areas with 2 single beds and one double bed. There was a dining area with dining setting and a kitchenette for light cooking. Bathroom was sufficient and with a surprised washing machine which was really a bonus for us having been travelling for a week. We were so happy we were able to wash our clothes at last!! Being centrally located just be ready for early morning noises from shops and passerbys that can rob you with some sleep. Other than that this property is excellent value for money.

This was a trip for my parents, the staff was amazing and friendly. We arrived at close to 1AM and someone was available to receive us. Great location! Perfect for sightseeing and close to metro lines.

Checked in to this facility was my best experience during this trip. The girl who checked in us communicate with us so well, she walked us to our apartment, explained everything clearly, even prepared local map and marked our site. We had 2B-2B apartment, super comfortable, and the location is so convenient, surrounding with tons nice restaurants, only two minutes walking to metro station and hop- on hop-off bus stop. Liked there so much， recommend to everyone.

This was our first place to stay during 2 weeks in Spain. We felt very secure in this apartment because it is linked to a Hostal that is just a few feet away from the apartment entrance. The Hostal is staffed 24 hours a day. The people there gave us lots of information, help and support during our stay. The apartment itself gave us everything we needed, a kitchen to prepare breakfast or lunch. The location is quiet, yet right on the very edge of the bustling Puerta del Sol.

Large but dullish suite very close to Plaza Mayo
Looked after by lovely people with lots of advice, kindness and humour. Some furniture, kitchen accessories and decor could be improved on, but the place grew on you. We left some parting donations to augment equipment for future travelers. In suite washer was a godsend after experiences at some laundromats in other towns. Place is so very close to many things including a large supermarket and Plaza Sol subway that connects directly to Atocha Staion, making access to airport bus there so easy. Lots of various shops, churches etc in area. Got a kick out of their turn of the century elevator that ran like a charm. No 5 star hotel, but great if you are on a budget or spent too much at the last hotel! Way more pluses than negatives, so take a look at it!

Very noisy from apartments on same floor and above. We had a studio on the fourth floor with a hot water tank attached to the the wall over the kitchen sink! Each time a faucet was turned on either in our apartment or anywhere on the other floors, the water tank made a loud "screeching" noise, this would happen with regularity. On a positive note, great location and the staff were helpful with local information. Don't take this apartment unless you are OK with this sort of situation.

Very convenient location right in the busy hub of Madrid when it was noisy outside the great quality windows allowed for quiet night's sleep. Two bathrooms was a nice bonus plus we loved to sit out on the terrace. The staff were friendly and helpful and it available 24 hrs.

It was in very poor condition. Many tmes elevator wont work, AC unit was making lot of noise, apartment looked more like a dorm room and whole night lot of noise came from outsidr. Will jot stay again.

We rented one of the apartments which is located next to the hostel. The apartments are all furnished differently with old furniture. We enjoyed the quirkiness of the apartment.... some chipped paint, original brass door knobs and a bathroom door that doesn't quite close. However if you like sleek hotels where everything is matching and sparkling new then this is not for you. The double paned windows and AC were greatly appreciated for a good night's sleep.

In general, the property looks completely different from the pictures posted online. Great location, easy to get there from the airport or any place in the city. Staff friendly and helpful. It wasn't a bad experience, I was expecting something different.

Best Upgrade Ever
When I checked in they saw I was alone and for some reason they upgraded me to a top-floor two-bedroom/two-terrace apartment at no extra cost. This apartment was great, once my friends from Madrid saw it they decided to stay with me. The location couldn't be better and the terraces are great (one is huge). If you are thinking about this ask for apartment 55 - I don't know what it actually costs (also I was travelling off-season) but you'll be happy you did.

Great location but no sign on front door!
If you want to be near Plaza Mayor, then this is in a great location. Overall, it's comfortable (3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room,washing machine) and has all of the basics. I would stay there again. There are some mishaps which hopefully, they will fix. When we arrived, there was no sign on the door and its a shady looking sidestreet(to be fair, it's safe). Because I booked this online, I wasn't sure if this was fraudulent or the cab driver was taking us on a joyride. Plus, their front door was locked! Even the cabbie didn't want to leave us outside by ourselves. We caused traffic and were being cursed at by the other cars. Then, we just decided to ring all of the doorbells until someone came down.The guest service host was doing her best to be helpful and get us settled but it was quite challenging and time consuming because she was working by herself during a peak check-in time and was now being cursed at by the other guests.We soon realized, she always works by herself. Don't expect service to be prompt if you need something but it will get done. She always came through. When we finally received our keys for the room, our room was in the next building. The FRONT DOOR locks are an issue! We toggled the lock with our keys every time we tried to go back to our room. Even the guest service host had to try a few times and played it off as if it was a simple turn to the left and to the right. There were 4 of us and it was always a challenge to get in. But we felt very safe in the aparthotel. The towels are like sandpaper. Except for the issues of no sign, sandpaper towels and the doorlocks, I would stay there again because of the convenience, comfort and safety.

Die große und helle Ferienwohung liegt direkt mitten im Zentrum von Madrid, aber dennoch sehr ruhig an einer Fußgängerpassage. Der Plaza del Sol und die Metro liegen nur zwei Minuten entfernt. Die Rezeption ist 24 Stunden mit sehr freundlichen Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern besetzt. Sobald Sie das Haus verlassen sind Sie von Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants und Geschäften umgeben.
