We booked a month at this apartment primarily because it was in walking distance to our language school. We walked everywhere, but there is a metro stop and bus stop basically around the corner. The apartment is as described and pictured. It is an older building with a charmingly sloped central staircase, and the unit itself is renovated with useful amenities such as Nespresso, washer, comfortable mattresses, modern furniture, closet systems and new windows. Access was easy. We communicated with Nacho via W@tspp and his associate Nasser met us at the apartment with keys and gave us the walkthrough. A few things to know: recycling and trash are very specific in the municipality and while there is a weekly curbside schedule in front of the building, there are also 24 hour drop bins close by if you need them. Also, the drains for the shower are narrow and needed attention. We attributed this to the nature of an older building. Lastly, we did not know anything about Chueca other than its central location, and learned a lot while we were there! Madrileños are active practically 24 hrs a day. We loved the liveliness of the neighborhood and just used earplugs for sleeping. Even if you think you are a busy person, there are people who are out and about at all hours of the night. This is Madrid! We loved this amazing city and can’t wait to return. Thank you for the great stay!
