COVID-19 has changed the way we travel, but it hasn't deterred our eagerness for exploring. Here are some tips on how to cope with travel's new challenges:

• Look into what, if any, restrictions or rules apply to both your destination and origin. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so make sure you check before you lock something in.
• Keep your face mask on during airport screening. A TSA employee will ask you to adjust your mask to verify your identity.
• To decrease the risk of cross-contamination, place your boarding pass on the scanner yourself and then hold it up for inspection. Do not hand your boarding pass directly to a TSA employee.
• One liquid hand sanitizer container is now allowed in your carry-on bag. It must be no bigger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll need to remove it from your bag for X-ray screening.
• Empty your personal items from your pocket, like your wallet, keys and phone, and place them in your carry-on instead of the bins. This will minimize handling during the screening process.
• Separate any food you have for screening. Placing it in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA officer to handle and inspect your belongings.
