Wonderful remote cabin with an excellent host

The cabin is just what you want in a cabin. And it's quiet, secluded, and has fantastic views. I would absolutely stay there again!

Relaxing stay

Sitting on top of a mountain, the cabin is secluded, peaceful, and relaxing...no complaints. Nice view of the Smokies and the valley from the deck. Everything about our stay was enjoyable. Dog-friendly was a plus. We're hoping to return in the near future.

Great views of the mountains from the front porch. Fabulous owner! Very responsive. We had everything we needed for reheating previously prepared food. We did not do any cooking there, but seemed to have everything you might need. Cabin decor is very cute, but cabin is a little worn and needs a little TLC.

Wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our long weekend at Coyote Den! The view is nothing short of amazing, the cabin is clean and comfortable, and just a short drive to everything! Jarrod was an awesome host and was quick to provide some suggestions of things to do when the weather altered our plans. We would gladly stay here again!

We had the best time at the cabin. It was very secluded and the most beautiful views. The cabin was beautifully decorated and stocked with everything we needed to cook our Thanksgiving meal. The owner was great and answered every question we had. We will surely be back to Maggie Valley.

My Happy Place

Love Every thing about this cabin. The Amazing view sitting on the porch swing feeling like your the only one up on the mountain. The comfy feel of peace and quiet. Love that it's dog friendly. We'll be back again for sure ❤️

Labor Day Getaway!

We enjoyed this cabin very much. The beautiful weather, the area, the views, Jarrod, the owner, it all was amazing. I would highly recommend this location to anyone. It was especially great to have it pet friendly as we brought our two dogs to enjoy the mountain views with us. We will definitely stay again, hoping this time, to enjoy the fall colors.

A little scary getting to the property at night in fog, but was well worth it and the drive was like secomd nature after the next day. Very cozy, beautiful views, and great property manager!

The cabin was just as described, clean and tidy. Jarrod explained the road situation perfectly. If you are looking for seclusion but close to town, this is the place. The view is 10 out of 10.

Great Mountain View

The location, depending on driving skills and conditions, could be a little “concerning” but we made it with no problems. If you want glorious views, just relaxing, park adventures, scenic drives and other th8ngs, this is your place. Loved the remoteness, small parking pad, but the views, that’s where it’s at 😉

Relaxing

The view is great, quiet, cool in July 61 degrees in the morning. Enjoyed drinking my morning coffee on the porch swing. We saw groundhogs, deer, chip monks, rabbits and turkeys. When I go back to Maggie Valley I will try to get the same cabin.

Remote and serene

Small but comfortable cabin totally away from it all — but not too far from town (as long as you have 4X4 or AWD!). The view from the porch is as good as the pictures suggest. And the owner was great, making the check-in process easy, communicating well, and giving great area suggestions. It's great to have a dog-friendly place, but just a note, there isn't much room for the dogs to roam. But pack them in your car and take them on your adventures, of which there are so many nearby.

Amazing Mountain Getaway!

The cabin, property, and views were spectacular! Our host, Jarrod, was easy to contact and extremely accommodating. We had an unfortunate situation when we arrived, getting stuck in a mud ditch, as there had been recent rainy weather. Jarrod pulled the car out of the muddy ditch and was available for any other help we needed. He was a wonderful host. The cabin was quite large and well suited to all of our needs. If you are looking for the ultimate mountain getaway this is the place!

It’s a Jeep Thing

What an awesome ride just to get to this cabin. If your adventurous, this is your place. Middle of the mountain I tell you. When you reach the cabin it’s nothing but peaceful and relaxing. Nothing fancy but offers everything you need for a nice getaway. I think I saw Bigfoot.

Little piece of heaven

This cabin is delightful, an absolute escape from the hustle and bustle of day to day details. I wouldn't change a thing about it. A well stocked cabin with an incredible view. The cabin has a comfortable downhome feel to it. A favorite was sitting on the porch swing, drinking my coffee, looking down at the valley below, with my dog. Oh...and my husband.

Coyote Den has beautiful view

Coyote Den was as expected and as advertised. Quaint cabin with a beautiful view of the mountains around Maggie Valley. We would gladly stay there again. We enjoyed the big wraparound porch that faced toward the valley. Reaching the cabin is a bit challenging, with several switchbacks including some on gravel roads. Our AWD Ford Edge made it easy to drive up the steep hill to the cabin, and our host provided guidance on how best to drive on the gravel roads. Our host was very responsive to our questions and even gave tips on a couple of good places to hike.
