Dolce Vita Residence is a great place to stay. The unit was clean and modern with a nice balcony. Staff was very nice and helpful. Be aware that it is a taxi ride or long walk to town on a main road. There are also many stairs down to the unit. My advice travel light!

Such a beautiful property! Located in a great place with an amazing view if you go on the rooftop patio! Room was nice and spacious. Small walk to get down to the private beach that is gorgeous. It’s a bit longer of a walk to get into town, definitely doable minus the days we arrived and left cause we were lugging large backpacks around. One thing to note is that you do not check in at the location, you check in at the Regina hotel in town before going up. We made that mistake but they do tell you. Our host was so nice and drove us up the keys… thank god because we had such a long day! Over all great experience. There is lots of stairs to climb, but you are staying in an area where everything is stairs so that makes sense. There is a jacuzzi on the roof, it is not a hot tub more like a cold tub ha ha, which would most likely be nice in the summer, but it was a bit cold when we went. Overall great experience.

The photos over sell the property. There is no beach and the area by the water is full of trash and doesn’t appear to have been serviced in years. The path to walk down is extremely overgrown. Parking is tricky, room Was clean, staff were nice.

The amount of steps involved in this property was astronomical. This was in no way apparently in the original listing that we reviewed when searching for a property in this area.

Condo like stay

The hotel is more like condos, with kitchenette and there is no daily cleaning. The units are nice and roomy. There are a lot of stairs, we had to go up and down about 10 flights of stairs each time to arrive and leave the hotel. Walkable to the Centro in about 15 minutes but you have to walk along the road which is on cliffs. There is a beach at the hotel, but the majority is private (have to pay to rent chairs and umbrella). The public beach is tiny.

Please do not stay there if you want a relaxing holiday. Bugs all over the place, no pillows, no shuttle service, you have to walk uphill to get to the hotel. They charge you extra if you want to change towels. When u shower the water ends up flooding the floor. They don’t clean your room ever, if you want to get it cleaned you have to pay extra. There is no staff on the property whatsoever, so if you have any problem you’re on your own. There is no way to call the front desk either, there is a phone but it does not work. On top of that they charged us DOUBLE for the stay, and I have to deal with this now, not sure if they will return the money, this people don’t care about any of your concerns apparently

Positives: 1. the beach that's near the hotel is nice although most of it is used up by loungers for which you have to pay between 50 and 40 euros. But the water is very nice. 2. The room was pretty clean when we checked in. Negatives: 1. The room had ants all over the kitchen. 2. No cleaning; if you want room service/cleaning, you have to pay extra. 3. No matter how long your stay is you get 2 bathroom towels (the big ones). We stayed there for 6 nights and had to make do with 2 towels for 2 ppl for 6 nights. 4. When you shower, the water leaks all over the bathroom floor cause it's not closed. 5. To get to and from Maiori, you have to walk on a highway/road that has no sidewalk (not safe and definitely not kids friendly). 6. There is no concierge or staff on site so if you have any issues, you have to call some WhatsApp number. On the last night, there were a couple of people screaming at 3am for about an hour (and what seemed like moving their furniture in the room right above ours) and we had to suffer through that without being able to call the front desk to ask them to deal with it. So it can be quite noisy depending on who else is staying there. We'd give it 3/5; if it weren't for the beach, we'd give it 2/5. If you have kids, we'd suggest booking somewhere else unless you are planning to stay in the residence the whole time and not go to the city.

Worst stay ever! Not enough space to say how bad

Questa non sarà una bella recensione. Apppena siamo entrati nell'appartamento abbiamo trovato un'invasione di formiche in diversi angoli. Abbiamo cercato di contattare la reception (che si trova a circa 1-2 km di distanza in paese, per cui non immediatamente raggiungibile) ma ci siamo accorti che la linea wifi e telefono erano molto lenti e non prendevan bene. Dopo circa 1 ora senza alcuna risposta, abbiamo rifatto i 115 gradini, abbiamo preso la macchina e siamo riandati all'agenzia. Qui la responsabile della struttura, di fronte al problema delle formiche e alla richiesta di trovarci una sistemazione alternativa o quantomeno un indennizzo economico (il soggiorno non valeva il prezzo a quelle condizioni) ci ha risposto che avere le formiche in camera è normale per quella zona, che tutti ce le hanno e che era colpa nostra perchè avevamo prenotato tramite Hotels, che tiene questi problemi nascosti. Prenotando dal loro sito invece sarebbe stato chiaro perchè la struttura lo evidenzia sul sito. Totalmente falso. Nessun accenno ad invasioni di formiche o wifi lento sul loro sito. Così ci hanno detto di contattare noi stessi Hotels e chiedere un rimborso. In questo caso avremmo dovuto lasciare immediatamente la struttura. Alla fine abbiamo convissuto 3 giorni con le formiche, che ci sono entrati anche in macchina. Tentato di contattare Hotels 4 volte ma senza alcun risultato, per via della lentissima connessione. 4 chat con 4 operatori nel vuoto. A noi non ci rivedranno mai più!

Nous avons changé d’endroit car pas de wifi. La responsable de l’hôtel (Frederica) nous a trouvé un autre hébergement plus grand sans avoir chargé la différence. Je recommande grandement de louer avec le groupe de Regina palace a Maiori. Notre séjour a été plus que parfait. Merci à Frederica

Pessima

Dalla prenotazione effettuata non si capiva che il tutto sarebbe avvenuto tramite un agenzia di viaggi e già questa è stata la prima sorpresa. Poi appena arrivati in struttura abbiamo appurato che il servizio di parcheggio prevedeva il ritiro e la consegna dell' auto e non era assolutamente vicino all'alloggio;considerando che avevamo due bimbi piccoli e che spesso la consegna dell' auto è avvenuta in ritardo o addirittura ci hanno prelevato e portato al parcheggio con la navetta, perdendo moltissimo tempo (che in vacanza è ancora più prezioso), sono molto delusa. Inoltre, la situazione è peggiorata ancora di più perché nell' appartamento c'è stata un invasione di formiche e i proprietari se ne sono lavati le mani, mentre le ragazze delle pulizie sono state gentilisse, disponibili e cordiali ed è solo grazie al loro servizio se sono rimasta in quella struttura ed è stato risolto il problema delle formiche. Frigo non funzionante e ascensore assente.

Viihtyisät, valoisat tilat, hienot näkymät, ranta lähellä, remontoitu, kiva huoneisto (kaksio terassilla) vaikkakin pieniä vikoja (sulake paloi jos tietyn lieden laittoi päälle, lavuaarien tulpat jäivät kiinni, kaapeissa outo haju, kostea asunto jos ilmastointi ei päällä), ei omaa pysäköintiä, pitää aina soittaa erikseen jos tarvitsee autoa, joskin edullinen palvelu, paljon portaita. Suositus hyvän fyysisen kunnon omaaville ja rauhallisuutta arvostaville. Taskulamppu mukaan, sijaitsee pienen kävelymatkan (10 min) päässä Maiorin keskustasta, osittain pimeää tietä.

La struttura non è provvista di parcheggio, a differenza di quello che il sito fa intendere. La posizione non è comoda, c'è da fare un po' di strada per arrivare al centro del paese, ed un pezzo non è neanche illuminato nonostante sia una strada trafficata. La camera è piena di formiche, abbiamo dovuto buttare quello che avevamo comprato per la colazione perché siamo stati letteralmente invasi e ciò che non era ben sigillato è stato preso d'assalto. In più il condizionatore ha cominciato a perdere acqua e la mattina della partenza non funzionava bene neanche lo scarico. Per carità, tutti disponibili alla risoluzione dei problemi, ma sinceramente ci siamo trovati parecchio in difficoltà.

Good value and fairly pleasant overall

Good points: Clean, comfortable, spacious apartment in quiet location, with kitchen, balcony and sun deck. Walking distance from semi-private cove and local resort, with good choice of restaurants, supermarkets, bars, gelato, beach, boat trips, etc. Effective air-conditioning and good showers. Bad points: ‘Outdoor pool’ is a COLD-water jacuzzi. Gets tepid by end of day from sun if you’re lucky. Parking inconvenient (either pay 20 Euro per night and wait for your car to be driven several km by staff, find paid parking in town and walk up the hill to the apartment or negotiate a space at restaurant opposite). Semi-private cove below apartment is full of litter and mainly pebbles, with some black sand. Steps down to cove fairly overgrown and messy. Local cat makes itself at home - may affect anyone with allergy. Overall: Good value and a fairly pleasant base from which to explore the Amalfi coastline.
