"I only saw one staff person and he wasn't around alot. The room didn't get cleaned on our second day, we did get clean towels however. Get to breakfast early or it will be gone, no staff working the breakfast area? Maybe it was the time of year, pre tourist season? Hard to find staff?"

"Hotel is very clean and well kept. Breakfast has plenty of options for your basic hotel breakfast. Second time staying here and will definitely choose this place again when visiting the Black Hills area. "

"We visited the first week in May 2026. The first room they gave us, on the ground floor, had a window with a broken lock. The room also had poor lighting. They moved us to another room on the ground floor. The window locked but the door wouldn’t latch or lock reliably. The third room was fine. One of the staff said they just “took back the hotel” and were getting to know it. It definitely needs maintenance. The hot tub was in a separate building. We didn’t use it. The breakfast was limited to tiny danishes and dry cereal."

"One of the best places I've stayed. Very comfortable. Kitchen had high quality items and everything we needed. Within walking distance to micalsen trail and shops and restaurants. Centrally located to visit all the different sites in the area."
